hm.....
quite odd that it would be a vid card, seeing as i run on a Geforce 2 32mb card..and i can play just fine, my buddy plays on a Geforce 4 128mb
card......and he has the 5sec punt problem.

Im not sure if it's the video card....My card is recommended for the game ..I still have the problem..theres no way in hell im gonna get a new card
just so I can play BHD....It's not that great of a game anyway....

Hello everyone! I've been visting your board for awhile now and thought it was about time for me to become a member too. Some of you may know me as
Azlon that is if you are or were a fan of Jedi Knight 1. I put out the mod's Manowar,2 and Manowar 3,The Mandalorian Wars series.
Anyway the reason for this post. I have 3 PC's and the only PC that had the punt problem has a Voodoo 5500 which does not have Hardware TnL. Actually
the post that someone on this board made stating that when they changed thier video card the punting problem had stopped. That got me thinking that
there had to have been code change to the recent patch that made it a must to have Hardware TnL.
I frequent several Voodoo boards and found out that there was a program out that had a software TnL emulator called 3D-Analyze so I got it last night
and tested it today and now I no longer being punted from the game.
Follow this link and look for the link to the program.

Please note that this program while in english all instuctions are in German.
To get the program to work follow these instructions.
Ater unzipping the zip make a folder placing it on your C drive "I named mine 3dAnalyze" and place the entire contents in there.
Now launch the program
You will now notice on the left side " File selection" go down to the second "Select" where it says
ExE (select the application file) and press Select now point the program to your Black Hawk Down game folder and click once on the dfbhd.exe file.
Next look at the top right side of the 3D-Analyze program where it says
DirextX 8 Options and look just below for Hardware Limits (caps) and place a check mark next to emulate HW TnL caps
Now look on the very right bottom and save batch file and name the batch file DFBHD and press save it will save the file in your DFBHD folder. Now
look on the very left bottom and press the Run button to launch a punt free BHD.
If you have any questions I'll do my best to help. Please note I am not sure if this will fix all vid cards but it shouls as this program is not for
Voodoo cards only.

although my card already has TnL support i kept gettun punted after 5 secs, but after trying this i can play the updated version punt free:D

ok i tried the thing and it loks intresting ill consult with some1 else be4 i do it i did excatly as u said i think like the files i hit run and it
wants me to select a bat file or somin whats that???? also shuld i update my game to 1.9 the cursed version then do it? or should i do this on 1.5
cuz thats what i got now

Had the '5 second punt problem' since I updated. I did what viper said and it FINALLY FREAKIN' WORKS!!!!! Thanks mate!:D

follow the instructions, there simple.
and it's not a bet or bat file, it's a exe or bat file.
u goto ur bhd folder which by default should be C:Program FilesNovalogicDelta Force Black Hawk Down and select the DFBHD.exe

Ya i got a few guys in my squad aswell this worked for them to ty very much for figuring this out man its saved a lot of squads probably from falling
apart and can now become stronger and have more competition in df bhd.

man this is wierd ok well i screwed around wit it and it works dont know what i did just click somin got the hourglass and EVENTUALLY came up y does

color shading problem
I have that 3d analyzer [Censored] and it did something to my shading and redering becasue my player textures now are neon colors.
It happened on my building textures also but i managed to fix that when i went into my openGL options. Is anyone else having this problem.
i have a TNT 2 model 64- 32mb

I tried the fix, and it corrected the punting problem, but textures on weapons and players are all screwed up. (Cant see what you are shooting at,
players and weapons are just a brown placeholder).
Oh, GeForce 4200 128 card here. I think it was something in the patch because I haven't had the punting problem with any other patch, just the latest
one.

ok now i updated i think and ive had this problem ever since i bought the game i click the shortcut AND NOTHING HAPPENS no start up or anything i dont
what makes it do that and i dont know if the update fixed da problem so what do i need a graphics card what do i need i have 2.0ghz and alot of ram
