LMFAO.. the only one making you guys out to be Iraqi sympathisers is you..

and have you ever visited the US??

No timber industry?? What are you smoking you reject.. ??

Hmm.. Alaska.. half the size of canada.. totally untapped..

Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire.. mostly untouched..

Large chunks of land out west.. mostly untouched..

I would venture to guess that the US has as mouch timberland available as Canada.. and if you dont rely on us.. then how come recently your government threw a temper tantrum when we wanted to raise the tariffs on Canadian lumber..

Man.. you should stick to the old saying.. its better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it..

Because so far you guys just keep prooving it and prooving it and prooving it..

"But I'd allow it too if I was looking down the barrel of rifle. Moron."

apparently you have never heard that at one time the usa was
owned by england, they had guns, we fought for freedom, as
have many countries (even canada) when the people had the balls to stand up and risk thier lives.

"And don't even get me started on this logging crap. As much
as you would just hate to admit it, you depend on us for it."

wrong, we have a lot of trees too. in fact many of ours are in
plantations so that they are renewable resource. but since
canada cuts old growth trees(free to you) the price is hard
to beat.

"probably the most developed country in the world"

lol who is more developed ?? japan ? remember we rebuilt
them after the war ? naw war mongers would not do that !
bad governments would not do that !who else ? hell who invented computers, the internet, electricity ?

"You can't speak for everyone when you say that america wants war"

lol i can speak for like 99 percent of the people in country , i agree
that is not all but easily the vast majority.and i certainly speak for the
roughly 200,000 troops deployed there.

"Iraq, it will fall under U.S control. So guess who owns all that oil now?"

if you really followed the events as they are reported you would know that,
just as in japan, germany, afganistan, kuwait, granada, etc etc etc etc etc, we alreadyhave exiled iraqis ready to set up a new government in thier country.
why do you not know this ? i do not understand how you can be so ignorant
of facts and truth.... how dang many countries could we have occuppied
if we wanted ? hell if we wanted to we could own the farking planet, but
that is not our belief system. why dont you know that ? are you ignorant?
is someone lying to you ? or do you just go around repeating what others
say with no desire to check facts, understand issues or listen to reasonable
arguement ? just what is your excuse ????

I DONT HATE THE STATES. STOP MAKING ME AND RAVEN OUT TO BE IRAQI SYMPATHIZERS
Your government pisses me off
Americans or their beliefs. It's the gov't I don't like lol
AMERICA, as a country needs war to survive
The US tried to buy off Turkey and let them put a base up there, Turkey was even offered $26 BILLION in goodies from the Americans and still said no ( no it only took 16 bill. they wanted 26 tho and we have had bases there for 50 years, the money buys us the right to move an army thru thier country to save them from attack)
I have nothing against american people, its there beleifs i disagree with.
I ment that the US should have gone through the UN
if ur American and/or take offence to this u can email me at likeigiveadang
We won WWI. US. ON OUR OWN

just a brief sample of statements you and raven have made which are either totally ignorant of truth or show a total lack of understanding of world events.
i also have not called you a name, which you seem to do regularly. why ?
cant argue with facts then call names to cover your ignorance?playground s[Censored].
at every turn you have critisised what we are doing yet you say it must be done....wtf
why doesnt canada do something about it ?? cause you do not have the muscle or the the ability to lead. lmao canada won wwI by itself=ridiculous, we didnt go thru un= ridiculous , we cant get them to stand behind thier own resolutions.

"U.S has no Timber Industry? What are you smoking you reject?"

1. You know why our gov't is upset? Because its going to cost us money. Money that could be used elsewhere.

2. I didn't say U.S has no timber industry, I mean't that you will run out before canada does.

3. Which brings me to my next point. Have you ever been up north? And I don't mean the southern part of the provinces I mean North of 60. 63% of Canada's timber resources are untouched. Do you know why? Because it is all up in the Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, pretty much the northern part of any province, save maybe Ontario. Know why we can't get to it? Because of the terrain. We'll find a way to get to it (not htat that's a good thing), still, the U.S does not even come close to Canada and timber. You can't compare it.

And Tarheel. I call you a moron, because your statements are moronic. That's a nice list of quotes you got there. Too bad only 2 of them are mine. And yes I do have a problem with your gov't. It's an opinion everyone is entitled to it. And the WWI thing.
"canada winning wwI= ridiculuous"
Do you know what I find ridiculuous? The fact that you know NOTHING about it. We did win World War One. I even gave you the battles that we won. Read a history book on WWI then come debate this with me. Otherwise, keep your trap shut. And while you're at it, try and read ALL of what I post. You will notice that my theory was not that Bush is veying for world domination. It's that he wants taht oil so bad he can taste it.
I will apologize for any derrogatory statements made previously, now, and probably hereafter.

Two more things.
1. I probably know more about history than you would think. So yes I know the States and Canada were once under British rule. I also know that Americans fought for their freedom of independence. But you have been misinformed. We didn't have to fight for ours. In 1867, we signed our own consitituion, declaring us a independent nation. Know what our war was? A bar fight.
2. You can't speak for 99% of the country. So why make up an estimate like that?

here is a link to wwI data base, opening page shows declarations of war by each country. canada apparently just did what england told them to do and never declared war. estimated 10,000,000 dead
canada lost 56,000.....but canada won the war ???? what history "novel" did you read ?

do not get me wrong i do not deny canada was there but to say canada won alone is preposterous. of course now you will say that is not what you said, but you did. if you do not think 99 % of america is behind the efforts of our government come down here and start runing off like you have in this forum and you will find out !! hell 20 out of 99 will probably shoot at you lol. yea i thought i remembered something about the bar fight thing...seems england didnt want canada and took first opportunity to let it go.
how many americans in this forum have not supported the government ? if i say 99 % and you are not here how can you disagree ? why would you disagree ? it is true....
you make it sound like bush will actually own the oil himself ?/ did you disagree with my statment that we do not "takeover" countries ?? i am missing something here ( well actually it is you , you cant remember your positions because they change with every post) we will not own any oil in iraq, let me be clearer WE WILL NOT OWN ANY OIL IN IRAG. we have never occupied a country longer than necessary to install a new government, didnt you see that above, didnt you see the list of countries ??? do you choose to not read my whole arguement ??
GET THIS, AMERICA=AMERICANS, OUR GOVERMENT IS CURRENTLY LEAD BY PRES BUSH, THE GOVERNMENT DOES WHAT THE AMERICANS WANT IT TO DO. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ONE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BOTH. WE DO NOT INVADE OTHERS ON A WHIM, WE DO NOT OCCUPY COUNTRIES WE HAVE DEFEATED.
are you by chance blonde ??

yaa preach, but i disagree with your interpretation of the thread .....raven started out calling our president names, talking ugly about our country and our intentions.....i have canadian friends and squad mates...they all support what "we" are doing, raven and shadowfax seem to like bashing the usa and do so with wharped factoids. lol it is all in fun to a degree ( i hope) . it is a shame tho when people think we are war mongers ( then again they sometimes criticise us for not being more aggressive) and talk about us just wanting oil etc.....our history does not show that to be true in any way.

once again the list of statements from raven and shadowfax:

I DONT HATE THE STATES. STOP MAKING ME AND RAVEN OUT TO BE IRAQI SYMPATHIZERS
Your government pisses me off
Americans or their beliefs. It's the gov't I don't like lol

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU? I'M NOT BASHING YOUR COUNTRY, TWO OF THOSE QUOTES ARE MINE, ONE OF THEM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STATES!!!!

If you have a problem I suggest you take it up with Raven.

I took history last year (Just so you know, you've been arguing with a 16 year old) and we learned all about the history of our country in the 20th century. And to only say that canada was "involved" is an understatement. I couldn't find a section on just the battles alone, so you'll haev to look it up for yourself. I also forgot, I had my history mixed up. Techinically we were still a british nation during world war one. We were independent, but we couldn't amend our own constitution, we didn't actually have a bill of rights until 1982, before we officially broke off. That is why you didn't see Canada declare war in World War One, because we wer still British.

I love this comment......N1 Bullet

"Man.. you should stick to the old saying.. its better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and prove it.. "

As I see it we are all Brothers and Sisters
we just got off different boats.

And opinions are just that an opinion, either educated or not it is still an opinion.

But the wrong presentation of an opinion might sway those who can't come up with one of their own to adopt it.

So in closing watch what you say your words may influence the stupid.....

lmao....."Does Canada even have an Army" Thanks Grm

Army.......Yes each soldier is equiped with the newest musket and powderhorn
Airforce.....When we can get the props turning in the cold weather
Navy......We have more ships than the game battleship has if this counts probably as old too
we have some great used subs
as long as you don't go underwater in them they work great

Why the hell..?

I'm just not going to bother posting here, considering just how ignorant you people are about canada. And don't bother going "blah blah blah you know nothing about the states" because I really don't care. I was thinking about going through and grabbing quotes that have been used to bash canada, seeing as how me and raven are supposed "iraqi sympathizers" and haters of the states. But why bother? You'll only twist my words anyway, so you can hear what you all want to hear. Bastards.

Hey boys

Ok we have to bring this down a notch or two here.

Some intersting facts for you. One reason France doesnt like you is because when u showed up in Europe u had everything (resource wise and they had nothin.... My grandmother was from england during the second world war and she has told me how much they disliked the American troops back then, greatfull they helped yes but they didnt like them.

And only reason "we" seem to not like the US is because we are always pointing out the faults. Our way of life is different than yours and we dont like the way it works. (Gov't wise)

Canada didnt declair war on its own cause it was a British colony, and as for ur stats on Canadians killed in WW1 check that out percentage wise, u'll find its very high.

WW1 in my opinion was one of the stupidist wars EVER. The British Generals FUBARed it right into dang near destruction. Then the Americans came running in near the end, that didnt show, loyalty to them.

Another reason Europe doesnt rush to help you is because grandparents over there and fathers and great grandfathers have told stories of the horror of war, they now how bad it can be, and they dont want it happening again. My grandmother has told me some horror stories and she lived in the south of england, not even in Nazi occupied territory.

Ur not gonna like this but Americans havnt lost a battle in a long time, leta loan one on there own soil. They dont have war put in perspective for them. The only see through the eyes of the winner. There is even a difference b/t the way my grandfather (a RCAF/RAF radar engineer) and my grandmother (an english civillian/nurse) describes the conditions.

This war isnt going to help the world with anything. Its not right! Saddam needs to go but not this way, he needs to be kicked out by his own people but they are affraid b/c last time they tried the Americans who were near didnt help and they were CRUSHED like bugs.

War in the middle east will ony create more hostility twards the US. and thats the last thing they need.

I have been to the states and liked it while i was there. But there current state of affairs is in an un godly mess. They way they are guarding the boarders is in my opinion a disgrace, lack of security didn't let 9/11, happen good planning on the enemies part did. It could have been averted yes, but the way the show is running now is a disgrace to America and its people. Did u know that the US is declaired as a "hostile" nation by at least one tourist agency i know of b/c of the way customs, and security is.

I think war is NOT the way to go in Iraq, to think its only over Saddam and what he is doing hi crazy, there is much more to it.
and we need to stop name callin on here and country bashin. Canada isnt perfect, hell, ill help u make fun of those POS subs we got, i swear to god everyone has had at least one major problem. DID u know that on board them the crew rooms that house about 20 men, is only allowed to hold 2.5 pigs by canadian farming codes. Also it is my belief that the only thing holding them together right now is either the ice on them or duct tape.

Tarheel did annoy me but notice i havnt called him names or mouthed off at him, i think we could all learn from my example LOL never did i think id set a positive example.:D

Also id like to apologise to all i have offeneded espeacally A Bullet cause he knows what hes talkin about......most of the time lol :D:D:D

play nice eh

it is interesting that a couple of teenagers think they can figure out how to fight a war and think they are as smart as a countries leader. it is good to be proud of your country but talking bad about another, especially your nieghbor, is bad. it is like your next door nieghbor's garage, he can keep it just as messy as he likes and it is none of your business, unless you want to clean it up for him. study hard but always do your own research.... btw there are several links at that site to books about how the native indians in canada volunteered and served honorably in wwI...

My View

Hi,
I personally feel that we should have finished the job in '91, I believe that saddam is a real threat to the world, one problem with people in my country is they seem to feel that if the weapons aren't pointing at us then they aren't our problem. also they seem to say that we shouldn't attack until he uses them. Isn't that a little late?

another point, though I think we should go after saddam i also feel that N. Korea is a much more pressing threat, to quote well I forget (some bloke),

"we have iraq who are complying with UN inspections and not complaining too much, and then you have north korea who are disregarding UN sactions starting to build WMD and threatening a pre-emptive Nuclear strike and the US is just saying shut up because their too concerned with IRAQ to see a bigger problem"

Well actually I think the US gov't has its eyes peeled on North Korea.. however the North Korean government have a longstanding history of trying to ratchet up hostilities in an attempt to gain an advantage in diplomatic negotations..

In light of this.. it makes sense not to play into thier hands by letting them get us riled enough to allow thier ploy to work..

If you really analyze the situation.. I think you would realize that the guy who comes out brandishing a gun is actually less dangerous than the guy who keeps his gun concealed until the time when it could do the most damage..

Basically Kim Jong Il is trying to scare the US people enough that the US government will have talks with the DPRK and I am sure they are hoping for a repeat of the negotiations they had with the Clinton administration..

Basically.. back then.. Kim Jong Il would huff and puff and crank up the rhetoric.. and then they would get bought off by the Clinton administration..

Basically North Korea was rewarded for making threats - because the logic at the time was .. who knows what this guy will do..

The US made a deal with Kim Jong Il in 1993 to provide North Korea with fuel oil and two light water nuclear reactors - and for its part North Korea agreed to actually follow the Nuclear Non Proliferation agreement they signed in 1985 and to allow UN inspectors to continue thier work..

This same policy was followed again 5 years later when North Korea test fired long range ICBM's in violation of earlier agreements.. once again the Clinton administration took out thier checkbook and rewarded Kim Jong Il for his bad behavior..

Basically.. given that history.. in my opinion the reason the Bush administration is not as visibly active against North Korea.. is that they have pretty good reason to beleive that Kim Jong Il is simply trying to inimidate the US enough that the US will send them more aid .. and continue down the path of appeasement followed by the Clinton administration. .

If Kim Jong Il was to actually make a pre-emptive nuclear strike against the US.. it would surely spark a second Korean war..

Since we have allies in the region.. (South Korea and Japan) its highly unlikely we would retaliate with a nuclear response.. its far more likely that we would end up in a protracted conventional war with the DPRK and its almost a certainty that in the beginning of such a war hundreds of thousands of South Koreans would be killed by North Korean artillery poised on the Northern side of the DMZ..

Basically.. Kim Jong Il is prodding and poking the US in an attempt to start a dialog.. hes hoping that he can blackmail the Bush administration into striking a deal with the North Korean government..

In my opinion Bush has done a pretty good job by simply not responding at all.. because there basically only three options available.. appease Kim Jong Il, attack Kim Jong Il and suffer many casualties.. or simply do nothing and let this blow hard rant and rave knowing full well he doesnt have any more desire to be annilated in an all out conventional war with the US.. than the US wants to fight that war..

People should keep in mind. .that sometimes making no move at all is in itself the best move one can make..

And I KNEW you would say something about me being a teenager Tarheel, but what the hell does that have to do with anything? "Oh I suppose a bunch of teenagers could run our country better then the leaders we have now"
Thats your point eh? Whatever man. Who says a 16 and 17 year old can't understand politics? I have friends that could run our country better then our own P.M, but I guess that wouldn't mean anything because we're stupid, ignorant teenagers.
