6.2 However has changed the face of Mapmaking. You now have the ability to export your NPJ (Nile Mission) directly to a MIS file. This allows you to also use the MED to take care of some things NILE can not do, such as Area Triggers, Flying Organics, and GROUP Commands.
I know, there have been several attempts to make a converter from NPJ to MIS and I have looked at them all "and quite frankly threw them away." Sure they may convert your mission, but what good is it if you have to realign everything again with the MED.
Up steps OldMan. This converter will I think "BLOW YOUR MIND". From my testing I have only found one building that is misplaced and that is out of over 190 objects that I have tested it with. Simply put, this converter works.
Now, we all know OldMan, simply converting the NPJ and getting things right is not enough. Unlike the other converters, this one will renumber items so they match the MED values, as well as converting your waypoint lists, AI settings, and then converts your WAC to match these new values.
So now, you can build/design in NILE, get things just how you want them and use NLH to make a MED copy to do your events.
