Map Description:

Nice short map, well designed. My first published map, though this is definitely not my first map. Could use some advice if you think the map could be better. You are a Delta Force Operative sent to releave a convoy from attacks of Columbian rebels. Search and destroy the missile launchers so that helicopter escort can save the convoy and precious supplies.

The player starts standing on the hummer instead of inside and manning the .50 - Review the section in the manual that explains how to have the player attach to the gun. There is a waypoint set for the player however the vehicles drive past it and if you get off and go to the waypoint nothing happens. Either delete the waypoint or fix it so it has some meaning. There are no mission goals displayed and at the end after blowing up the final missle batteries the game very suddenly ends (you did say short), and shows zero mission goals accomplished. I'm just assuming I won. There are floating trees on the sides of the roads. Just before the player 3-vehicle convoy stops, they take turns driving thru things (parked vehicles) and they drive in circles for a bit. Probably because 2 of the points in the waypoint list have the same number. You could use 'wac' files to enhance the game. Tutorial available in downloads and a Wac commands thread in the Map Builders forum. Some of the AI's at the vehicles are out in the middle of the road when they should be repairing trucks etc. Specifically - one guy laying on his back but no truck around. There are 250 people in the map. I'm sure I didn't see more than 30 or so (including bad guys) and probably only shot 5 or 6. What happened to the rest of them? When placing buildings on uneven ground use the 3d wireframe in the med to ensure it actually sits on the ground instead of floating (this works for trees as well). Limited use of sound. Review the sample mission that comes with the game and ask questions thru the Map Builders forum if you have any. But at least read thru the forum and study other maps as well. And the screenshot here does not represent anything found in map play. A good basic map idea that could use a major overhaul. Rating 3/10

I will get right to work on creating a much better update for the map, as well as making it harder, longer, and more fun to actually play, and for the stupid mechanic fixin' nothing I will change that too, apparently he gets scared and runs off from fixing the tank and then doesn't go back, again what do you expect from someone the first time. On another note please check out my Desert Airport map, much better layed out, isn't a mission but it has some fun things in it, like a fireman shooting range, stuff like that, still have to work out the vehicles going around in circles though. I've tryed everything and nothing seems to get the truck to follow the waypoints exactly how I have them layed out, and no, they all have different numbers assigned to them.
