Map Description:

This map covers a city of 2 km by 2 km ! It is the largest urban map for JO EVER. It was a long winded process to make all this work and I am over the limit with any parameters. So numbers is one thing, anotherone is the "feel" when you enter the scene and you feel as if it is something you have never played before. My BHD is unique in that sense. There are very few maps, with such a large urban object population and so many details. Insert into Mogadishu using a force of almost 100(!) soldiers. Pick up the target persons and return them to your base. then head for Michael Durants and Wolcotts crashsite. Secure the site and destroy the downed Blackhawks. Check for survivors. Some little secret objectives and events can be found. Only teamwork does it ! 4-10 players will be keept busy. Many powerups hidden in the map (check commander screen). Map ends after 2 hours if objectives are not met.

. Updated mission design : Now with PSPs. More linear gameplay - destroy the two blackhawk wrecks, marked red on your map and you win.Weaker AI but with even more mobility. The mob now will chase you sometimes.

BHD- Black Hawk Down

This may be my most popular map and therefor I will keep it updated and overwork it as long as my old eyes can still find the keys of my keyboard, lol. I love this map, it was hard work but much fun. Almost 2000 object in this one. Many many details, I hope you can enjoy it several times and still find new spots and things.
New features are the PSPs and the objectives. That was due to the complexity of the first version. I non-linear missions it is difficult for players who join in for the first time, to understand what is to do. So I made it easy by marking the two wrecks with red points on your map. Also we now have PSPs so if you die you don´t have to be flown in. Well that is not realitic to spawn in a city, but I found after all it´s only a game and it takes long to get back to the scene. This is not ArmA...
I made the bots a bit less accurate, because I found them a bit to unfair in the first version. In exchange, part of them now will leave the crossings or whereever they gather and run towards you when they see you. SO expect even more hectic.

When you upload a Map and put no Screenshot there or something that doesnt show the Map, they run after you and tell you to remove or replace that immediately.
But now we have a picture here that tears the site layout apart and noone does anything.

When I uploaded the files and the description everything looked fine. As I am uploading my maps to several platforms, I prefer to use one text and template for all. Now DFB HTML is special and didn´t like some of the tags in there. They best way to handle that is to use the PM function and inform the mapper that there is something wrong with and he should take care of that. When I left DFB it looked all fine. I can also be browser dependend. This site has been hacked many times because of certain issues in the security design and because it´s old. It´s not that clever from you to create awareness about that matter in public. PM the people in charge or those who can do something about it, but not the whole world.

It happened before with previous maps you posted here. I think it's best not to use HTML code in your map descriptions other then to format your text (eg bold, italic, new line). Trying to change the layout of your map description by using tables or other things like that can easily brake the site layout as the system seems to be unable to create a short description of the map for use on the index.

@GenElec: I am sorry if for you it looked different when you added it. But best to avoid it is just to use as less HTML here as possible.
Especially tables.
In which Browser did you do it when you wrote it, since you said it looked ok then ?
Besides my comments were ment to fix the issue as I and it seems other too, saw it, because it teared the Site Theme apart. I dont really think that by doing that I gave potential help for people that seem to have hacked this Site over the years a couple of times.
I myself lost the few maps i made some times ago in one of those hacks, so I am not especially looking forward to that as well.
However, now it looks fine again. No hard feelings I hope.

Small Update..

..Sorry to admit, but had to fix an issue which caused the map to end after 60 minutes instead of 120 minutes. Sorry for that. Other than that I could not detect any issue. @wolfseye : No prob. Thanks for the info anyway. Will reduce the html to a minimum from now on. Tables just makes things look less messy. I found that you need to around 200 of pure characters ahead of the HTML then there is no problem. It´s just the preview that reads it in so..
