Map Description:

*best played for 2-10 players.* Playtime: 1-2 hours

**By Robeloto. (robeloto@hotmail.com)** Briefing:

We have located a secret Rebel base at the Indonesian pacific. The satellite pictures show us that they have hostages and SAM launchers on the island. A Commander and a General is occupying the island too. We believe this people is well organized and have one of the most high profile resistance in history. You need to free the hostages without alerting the guards. Your objectives are the following:

Goals: 1. Secure the hostages. 2. Destroy weapon crates. 3. Destroy Communications Dish. 4. Destroy Sam launchers. 5. Kill Commander 69. 6. Kill General Stinger.

Hints: - Take out the hostage guards with sniper. - Destroy the choppers and boats before going into their base.

Note: - Your helicopters will not respawn! But Boats will. - There are mines on the east side of the Island. Some marked, some not. Be careful!

- If you alert the guards they might kill the hostages! Important: - If a hostage is killed or the general escapes the mission FAILS! You have 100 lives. and no enemy respawns! **This is my first map.**

Hi, We played your map on 4 different pcs and it sys dumps, looked at the map in nile and it has too many bgs, the thing to remember is that the total AI in a map includes players, so the total of 256 AI must have at least 20 taken off to allow hosts to run large coop servers, we tested this by 2 players going in and killing some bgs, then we were able to have the rest of our group join.

Loved your first map...It doesnt seem like some's first map (its that nice). Good BG placement and action....but unfortunately the Commander escaped, wish I had a few more seconds to reach him. Will try again...9/10 Gr8 work keep em coming...Cheers!

a hint for you. If you are 2 or more players. One goes inside the generals house and you can have players waiting outside for the general. If you know where he has his chopper. Then you have plenty of time to shoot him before he escapes the island. It takes some time before he starts his chopper and escapes so just relax and shoot! :)




Enemy heli crash - Mission failed :(

I wasn't be able to complete this map, as suddenly red team won. I freed the hostages and was heading for "C" when suddenly first tank 2 suicides somehow (I got the message tank destroyed, but didn't kill it) and secondly the patrol chopper missed his waypoint somehow and crashed into the building with the hostages, causing the mission to fail, even those I secured the hostages before.

As for the first part of the map, I noticed a bunch of stingers that no only fired at helis, but also at players, sometimes from impossible angles. Once I located them they could be easily taken out however, but that caused me to lose a chopper. Since it was said they did not respawn, I decided to leave it on the side of the Island south of B and head to the top to take out the enemies around B. When I got back however, my heli exploded and then vaporized. So they might not respawn, they still blow if you leave them in this map. Also there was a small problem with the PSP "B", after taking it over it showed on the screen as blue base, but I couldn't spawn there. And the briefing seems to be a little long, if I remember well the limit is 1024 bytes, and this one is 1246, could cause problems on dedicated servers where people can't see the whole briefing.

I can't really comment on the rest of the map, as I only saw a small part before the heli crash and didn't wanted to start all over again. So I only saw the area around A and B and only completed one of the 6 objectives. But it doesn't look very bad for a first map, some alignment problems with objects, and some AI shoots a bit far and fast, where the second one is rather a problem of the editor you use then of your map. If I'll have some time later maybe I will try to complete the rest of the map (and hope there is no more crashing heli).





Helis, spawns and the AI.

One thing about taking the PSPs with LFP groups. At first it says destroying enemy camp. Then they turn from red to blue. You can't spawn yet, you need to set up a camp first too. More players at the PSP will result in getting it faster then if you were alone. I have added more seconds to the AIs reaction time. Especially the AI snipers. I have fixed the helis waypoints radius so they won't miss it. And i've also fixed that the hostages can't get killed after they have been secured. Thanks for telling me about this. And about the vehicle blowing up when a player is is outside the radius of the vehicle. I really dont know how to make them not blow up by themselves. If you or someone else know how. Tell me about it. I'm just a newbie ;)

i've also fixed some object alignment. Some ais changed too. anyone completed the map yet? I played with my dad and we completed it without any troubles at all. But also my dad is a reaallly good sniper :-)

This was tough to complete, you certainly have to use good team work and employ good tactics to achieve a positive outcome, great job. It makes a change to have a map that you dont win every time.

fixed ladder and moved it to the south side of the commander building. It was a bit irritating before. Fixed some other things too. Like object alignments for camo nets.

If someone is wondering why one chopper isnt following his waypoints its because i have set one chopper to follow the APACHE AIP. When this chopper sees any player he will follow him/them

Played today on my new update. One of the Ai fell into the water from the cannon boat so i have set so the hostage is secured if you only kill the guard downstairs in the boat. I have set the tank to move slower cause my dad said it was unreal that the tank moved so fast. Fixed some other things too.
