Map Description:

Updated 24th Feb 2007. IC2 parked trailers removed.

Added no "IC2 parked trailers" version as I'd read it causes sysdumps - also added mis file to zip so you can do what you like with map. :)

Take a break from the killing and show off your Motorbike prowess... Well, I know race maps have been done before - but hopefully this one is different.

8 Player race - 3 laps (can be changed in WAC). Leading racer is announced during race and race progress is always displayed on top left of screen. Last lap announcement for each racer.
At the end of race the winner is announced and then a run down of participating player race scores. For a template on how to do this see

Got a sys dump....!

Cheers sink - good to see that you're still around too.

Badar - do you get sysdump during map or at the end of loading? I haven't had any issues with map so I don't know what could be causing it for you. Can you try the templates and see if your getting the same (could be a WAC issue then). Anyone else getting a sysdump?

The sysdump occurs during loading and the templates work fine.

I can't really think why this is failing for you, if it's during loading it's usually an invalid object in map as opposed to WAC or med events - the map is written for IC but I think the track is a JO:E item - have you got Expansion as well? (I guess so as IC full install doesn't work unless you've got JO:E). If anyone else is getting sysdump please state so here - got to admit I'm stumped as it's never crashed for me.

Im speechless....
Oh, heres my text. Very nicely design map. I forgot, that Im playing JO IC, when riding on my bike.

On ething: when I crashed, I respawned and used another bike, yet it still said, that No. 4 is in the lead, since I was 4 on my first bike. Can this be fixed? Probably not....

One thing bothers me, too. The stadioum pieces need some stuff around them, like dock slabs, since you can see thru them.
Also, a map like this deserves a second part or make it bigger...just a bit too small. Suggestions: urban streets. Kinda like NFS, if you played it...

Thanks Axe

Thought it would make a refreshing change from the running and gunning, thanks for appreciating it.

thanks for kind comments. If you continue on another bike it will eventually say that the new bike is in lead (you have to go further than you did on the 1st bike). I know about the stadium pieces but I was hoping that no one would notice. ;) I like the urban race idea - perhaps someone can create an urban race map using the template?

Well, I downloaded your template, but since there are variables, if Im correct (the "V" things at the top of the wac), Im a bit lost, since this is over my head...
Well, I didnt know, that there are highway pieces in IC mod (damn, this mod has tons of stuff, lol), so I can make an urban race...But I got 3 other maps to finish first, not to mention all the mini-beta maps, which I make, when testing stuff for my maps...

OH, and which pieces did you use for the road? Cant find them anywhere :(

The V things

The point of the template is you don't need to know how it works, just that it does.

To build a race map from template

1. load it to med.
2. build track.
3. Move vehicles and player starts to start point (along with number markers).
4. Space out area triggers 1 to 4 equally around track, with area trigger 4 over finishing line.
5. rename mission name, save as mission name, then save and export (to create bms file). copy WAC into your mission name WAC.

That's it. It should run ok.

The track is made up of the Oil dock pieces from the decorations section. (odock1 odock2 etc)

Thought that. Just looking at your template and have my map opened in the other page. Ill just copy mine in, redo everything, then move the triggers. And of course credit you for the template....

Well, I thought the roads was made out a single pieces not oildocks...looked so generic...have to say, the best custom object yet....
