Map Description:
This is my 2nd map, my first i will post after a few fixes have been made.
These islands are being used by one of the biggest Drug Cartels known to Intel.
Mission is to take out the leader who is believed to be in the fortress which is on a nearby island. There is a base on this island which they use for their transporting and distribution. Take everyone out, get passed the security gates that are preventing the use of the boats and use them to head east to the island that the fortress is situated. The fortress is heavily guarded. Once again, take everyone out and locate the Leader. Destroy the security system preventing access to parts of the fortress.
1) Destroy all switches on first island base
2) Destroy all radios and switches inside the fortress
3) Kill the Leader
plenty of switches....but darn I need shurelock holmes with me....couldnt finish the map cause didnt find all the tripps...oh welll ...started off good..and ended with a real hunt....thanks Tuna

i purposely put switches in places so that it would be a bit of a challenge to find them, but i never really thought that people might not like that. well, i put this map on here to share, because i knew that i would get feedback from people on here.
if its the switches in the fortress that you couldn't find, there are 1 in each corner tower of the fortress building. they arent all in the same location, one might be inside, the other might be outside, then again also on different levels. maybe i should have put them in same location?
thanks for the comments tunafinger, it's from listening to your comments that i will learn what other people like about co-op maps and hopefully help me improve in my map-making.

thanks for your comments.
i think i will reposition the switches, make it slightly easier.
you must have missed one somewhere, because we've played the map on the CMHQ server about 4 to 5 times and finished everytime, but then again, i know where the switches are.
the switch on the tower door isn't meant to be shot, it's decoraton, maybe should have used something else.

A: you have the start - and ALMOST was to the end - of a wonderful map.
I spent over 40 minutes trying to find all the switches - and failed.
keep up the good work - dont try to make it too complicated w/the switches. I could NOT get into the tower at all.
Fyi.... Keep trying as this WILL BE a top notch map.
Let me know when it is complete - would love to see the finish... Iowa - iowa@coopvets.com

nice layout, everything worked sweet, died lots/killed lots :) we had no problems with radios we had to look hard but it did say where the radios were (in the fortress) not that much to look through, i liked that we had to look for them all doors opened as should great work 10/10 keep up the good work, i personaly would leave the map how it is, only takes a open eye and a little patients as we walked by some radios but after a research we found them all, like being a detective we sniffed them out..it wernt like the radios were dotted around the map anywhere there all in the same complex...can't wait for the next jaslew

for your 2nd map. I agree with stingray, leave the map alone. It worked and finished fine. Just have to stop those players that wanna go ahead to a psp before the prior instructions are completed. I found all your radios by myself and it was not difficult, just took a little more time by myself but if all the players were working together they may have found them faster. Excellent map and keep them coming Jaslew;) - Prinny

just want to say thank you for all your kind comments.
All criticism is good criticism and i listen to everyone's opinions. I'm glad people like my map and i plan making making a lot more. I've got another map which is very near finished, going through the maptest stage at the moment, and after observing peoples comments on here, i've moved a couple of switches in the new map because i think they would have been a little difficult to find, thanks again!

ok, i take it you want to know where they are in the fortress.
well first of all, when you enter through the main entrance just up the ramp, there is a building straight ahead which contains radio equipment (8 in total). They must all be destroyed.
so we come to the fortress wall. the fortress wall has 4 corners. starting from the closest to psp C. If you are on the top level ov the wall, then the switch is at that level just inside that corner tower. From there go to western tower. Run along the top level of the wall. When you get to the corner tower, head up the ladder, the switch is directly in front on the wall.
Head north to the 3rd tower and go up the ladder. exit the door oat the top and look to the right(west), the switch is on the side there. The 4th corner (n.east), top of tower again, but when you exit the tower, the switch is on the left.
These switches then open the door to the tower which is inside the fortress, where you must use the computer at the top to open the door at north end of fortress, which then lets you go to psp E. there are a set of steps out there, which you use to get under the fortress. just run towards the door and you will enter.
by the way, you need to get a security card to use the computer.
i hope this helps you.

...as everything worked just fine and map ended as it should. As usual, I tested this map alone and it's certainly single-player doable, but I did get 'smoked' plenty of times, especially at 'X'...until I figured-out a 'work around' to avoid all of the BGs. After that, although still getting killed by the respawners, it was a simple progression forward toward the next PSP. At the fortress, I had no problem locating the triggers...it just takes a little bit of searching, but they're easily visible. I too would suggest just leaving this map 'as is'...why fix something that ain't broke? Can't wait to play more great maps by 'jaslew', as this, only your second map, was simply a treat to play...thanks.
