terrain height change

I just reinstalled DFTFD from scratch and added:
1. DF2 terrains
2. EXP
3. TFD fixed items
4. DFLW terrains
5. DF1 terrains
6. C4 terrains
7. C4 terrain fix
8. DF2 items
9. DFLW items

IN THAT ORDER!

A map I am making using "D7" terrain changed dramatically in height. It is now much more severe and all my buildings etc. need to be adjusted.

Question: Where did "D7" come from and it is 'normal' that the height changed? Is it now correct or was it correct before? Also, water height changed but I think that goes with the general land change.

Obviously I want to know what the 'correct' version before I let anyone else try it.

Terrain height doesn`t just change by itself bud.Someone must have altered it...possibly inadvertantly but altered non the less.
I would reinstall the terrains you mention, one set at a time, checking the terrain each time you install a different set. There may be 2 of the same version in your install...just a thought.;)

At some point it look`s as though the raw has been stripped from the cpt,so the terrain could be ported or converted...When the raw image is stripped from the cpt it`s sometimes slightly
brighter /darker than original.Hence the height difference. That`s the only explaination I can think of,unless someone altered it purposely.

It is likely the C4 terrain fix was not installled in the 'old' one as it didn't tweak my memory. I followed the order as given and so the C4 terrain fix may do more than the C4 terrains? Again, I'm just looking for the one that everyone else will have so maps are consistent regardless of who downloads them. Otherwise, these terrains may be something to avoid.

I've added a pair of med pictures to the above link. If someone (maybe Moricano?) can check it out for me. I'd appreciate it.

the order is correct and i dont see why D7 changed, and no the C4 terrains fix doesnt affect D7. your install may have gotten corrupted at some point during the mod installs. did you try the map on another install that has all the mods in it?

thanks for the response ... I'm hoping someone with the mods tries the D7 terrain as per the link. Otherwise, no, I now have two installs which obviously have something different but I don't know what. I need a 'known-okay' install. I suspect my old install is wrong as it didn't have all the DF2 terrains, which is why I did the reinstall in the first place.

And while I'd like to know what happened, I can deal with FM too!

Found it!

D7 is from DFLW and the new install is correct. I hadn't made LW maps so I didn't recognize the terrain but I checked the med in LW and heights match the new install.

I have no idea what went wrong but it's closed now and I can post the map.
