Wac/waypoint problem


ok I actually have 2 questions..

I'm building a SP 6 mission pack. In the first mission if the 1st objective is failed the mission redirects to an emergeny EVAC plan to get you out. I'm building the set so if you fail the 1st objective the series is not over just takes you a differant mission than you would normally hit you complete it... kind of like one of those books where you choose whats happening .. anyhow.. question 1

I have a waypoint set set up to run through as though your not going to fail set with advance events ect.. now however if you do fail the first objective I need the original waypoint list to disappear and the new rediected list to show up so the player will know where the evac location is.. I can hide the waypoints fine but it hides ALL waypoints.. how can I redirect a play from 1 list to another or is this even possible?

Event 11 works perfect thats if you complete Objectives 1 and 2 .. now the commands for event 4 if you lose the first Objective are not working AT ALL and they are set up the same way... I have no other wac set for events 11 or 4 so these are it sow why wont they work for event 4 but do work for event 11??

Any help will be appreciated..

Hide waypoints will hide every waypoint in the list. If I understand correctly, you have waypoints (let's say 1-10 in the list) for in you don't fail, and more waypoints (11-20) for if you do fail the first objective. I have not tested this, but you could try vaporizing waypoints 1-10 if the objective is failed, and see if it switches over to 11-20.

Is event 4 triggered no matter what, or is it only triggered if you win/lose an objective?

event 4 is only triggered if the first Objective has failed pretty much Event 4 closes out the rest of mission and starts the new objectives ie the Emegency EVAC Scenario...

Do it with groups and then a diff event trigger...stuff all that wac file garbage.

I know this is going to start a debate, but some work where others dont.

Example...the new map that is still in production. Boats speed up and slow down and park, etc.
Not a wac file in the entire mix.

After some testing, vaporizing, redirecting, killing, teleporting, and changing the waypoint to red team didn't work. Vaporizing did have an effect, but it redirected the player to the middle of the map (ZZ,0 or something like that)... I'll let you know if I find anything that does work...

You can't redirect the player... I tried redirecting Group 1 and that didn't work... also tried leaving the first WP, vaporizing the second, and seeing if it will switch to the third, but it still just moves to the middle... Looks like the only option might be mission linking or just having a straight path with all the alternate routes blocked off...

same results here assassin... I've vaped them, relocated, teleported, redirected, used multiple advanced events, triggered off multiple events I even tried work with my bin files... lol I even removed my .cin and .end files just to test and still no fix... hell I even tried mission variables ... maybe what I'm tryin is out of reach from the DFBHD game engine...

ALSO - mission linking is the point of this entire event... if you fail objective 1 you must leave the mission safe and start a new mission differant from the one you would start if you completed... 100% story line series.. trying somthing new...

and who said about ditchin the wac? Make a Solid SP mission without it.. without modding...

thanx for the effort Assassin if I resolve I'll post if you have some ideas I'll try them... if I resolve this I can finish the Series and release it..

well 2 now.. I tried everything with 1 and nothing worked now I'm running 2 lists and cant seem to get it switch from 1 list to the other, and like I said in the original post if I hide waypoints all waypoints hide... I've been tryin advancement events to solve the problem but that doesn't seem to be working either...
