3DiView by FwO Raven (freeware) will at least export the 3d models from DF1 and DF2 as .obj files (you'll need to scale down the size a bit, probably by a factor of 256), and it can also export the textures.

For LW and TFD I guess you could use Unwrap3D or Milkshake (both shareware), which also can be used for DF1/DF2.

You'll need to export the 3d models as .ase files (as input to the BHD modding tools). 3dsmax (expensive) is one alternative, there might be cheaper ones...

The textures can be imported inside the BHD modding tools, where you also define collision boxes and other stuff (haven't used it, so can't give any detailed advices).

I might have forgotten something obvious, and if so, others should be able to correct me...

Hey col, send me the .3di's and the textures and i can get them into .obj with the skins mapped in a .mtl so you can import into 3ds. will lose everything (object names, collisions, etc etc) but the object itself and skin map.
