Q & A with Nova Mods - Titans of War JO Modding Community


Hello NovaWorlders and Communities,

We've basically compiled a list of most common questions with appropriate answers to each.

Q: What is Nova Mods - Titans of War JO Modding Community?

A: We are some of the top game modifiers in Nova Logic gaming. Some of the best are here under this roof helping put this mod together. Some of the names you know are Eagle Eye, LoA, Crack, DrEvil~TAG, ToW-Angel, Iceman, Bull, R8Bob, Sazza, Akiles, IC-FireStorm, IC-Skydive, IC-RAPTOR, IC-Fire and a couple of others.

Q: What mod are you making?

A: We are working on a theme based modification from South America, basically everything South of Mexico.

Q: What modifications are you making?

A: New objects are a given for any mod, but we are also going to be looking at the game play also with the additions of new weapons.

Q: Will JO:TR players be able to play this mod?

A: Absolutely... We'd like the entire community to be able to play our mod and get as much enjoyment out of the game as possible.

Q: What about bugs/glitches and other things that JO has now?

A: That's a tough one to answer... We will do what we can to make sure our mod has as few bugs as possible. Our motto right now is "Quality over Quantity". We want our mod to have a good quality to it so that we keep the bugs/glitches to an absolute minimum. We realize that not every computer out there are super computers, but we also want to push the limits of the game engine.

Q: Quality? What do you mean exactly?

A: Many things actually. Quality of objects to include how we put the collision boxes together and how we skin the objects so that they can and do look as real as possible. That we produce the mod with as few bugs and glitches as possible before releasing it to the public.

Q: What kinds of changes should we expect in the mod?

A: Other than the addition of new objects, terrains and sounds, we are going to be adding some new weapons, some 'unique' objects not currently found in any version of the game or mods, and going to make some changes to how the game is played. "Oh no! Not another Reality mod!" Nah, it's not going to be anything like that... "So, it's going to be another IC Mod?" Not like that either. We are going to make some slight adjustments to some of the weapons, reduce player speed to actual human speed. Currently the speed of players is 20mph. Personally, I don't know anyone that can run that fast and shoot a weapon even slightly accurate. We are also going to be looking at fixing the AI's so that the AI's with Stingers will lock on to the proper object. How many times have Co-Ops been played where you end up killing an AI shooting stingers are you? I can say many times, and that's exactly the type of thing we want to fix. Also, looking at making the AI's a little more human like as well.

Q: So, this is going to be a Co-Op mod?

A: No, but we do want to give something to the Co-Op'ers out there so that they also get something out of the mod too.

We are looking forward to the community's input on this so that you are as involved as we are. The more input you all give us, the more we'll be able to produce this mod the way you all would like and enjoy it. We don't want to do something we 'think' you will like, we want to do something you 'want' and 'will' like and that will take your input to do so.
