ok can someone tell me how to input text into the game i have made an area trigger and set the event but how do u tell it what text to input

You are talking about the dialogue editor Distant, get it here --->DIALOGUE EDITOR
This utility will let you add custom sounds and text to the game.

_Hairy..we have the download here as well mate, in the Misc files section..TerraNova Dialog Editor
Distant Storm, Just use this tool, don't create the sounds to go with it, just the screen text..you'll need to put the file name of your "Creation"
into the "General Information" section of your map...where you usually put the name of the Dialog File (.dbf) file you are using..

you will need to send the new .dbf file to everyone who plays the map as well.
Its a good program for custom dialog but its a trade off for wether you want custom screen text or the standard sounds.
On coop and sp maps you might want to use the standard dbf files unless you want to create/transfer all the sounds as well.
