I believe you can convert the LW files and use the Commanche 4 med and then convert back to LW.

I will check it out for you.

I am still investigating the LW 3d wireframe for you. will get back to you on that one soon

Do you mean upload to our map database?

If you do I suggest you read the instructions in the map upload area and it will tell you how to do it.

Basicly zip the bms file and have a snapshot of your map ready.

Regards

Howdy, sorry for taking such a long time to get back to you, Iceman asked me to help you out a week or so ago..

OK, first, go to this link, and download the C4 Med for Lw Beta..

http://www.dfarena.com/dfaweb/files/Land_Warrior/Editing_Uti...

There is a mission converter included in the zip.

You also may need the 2 files at the bottom....thumbnail pics and DFLWEXP terrains for C4 med..

First thing..make your map in the DFLW med, don't bother doing events yet, just the buildings and AI will do..then save as a mis file..

Load up the converter..and convert to a C4 mis file..save it somewhere else, I save mine into the C4 folder I created for the Med.

Open the C4 med, click on the "Collision Models" or it will crash. Load the converted mis file, adjust the heights..

Now, save as a mis, not a bms..

Now, load up the converter, and convert back to a DFLW mis file..

Now, open your DFLW med, load the mis back in, and export as a bms file..

Play the mission..

Strange Constructions....

Is this how people are pulling off crazy constructions like domes and that giant flying saucer on that one map?

Yeah, basicly...you need to be able to see it in your head first though..then place the pieces, then go in with the wire frame and adjust the z values..

You can do this on flat ground at first if you want, then, select the all the pieces of your new construction, and edit item attributes, tick "absolute Hght" and "Lock", this will lock all the pieces z values..and copy the whole lot to a hilly terrain, then you won't loose the height you set up.
