DFLW Basic hosting questions
Howdy all,
It's my understanding that if you host a Land Warrior game on Novaworld through the standard game menus that you'll be running off of a Novaworld
server rather than your own pc.
What I can't seem to find anywhere on the whole web is how to host a server on your own pc to be accessible via the internet! Hundreds of pages about
what utilities to use to connect to a specific ip, for managing your maps, but I can't find a lick about how to actually set up your own server. I'm
beginning to wonder if I'm insane...
The reason for my quest is my friends and I would prefer to play coop together, but when we host on Novaworld we always have the problem with lag and
invincible terrorists. I assume running a server on one of our own pc's would alleviate this problem.
Any help is appreciated!

The server merely gets posted as running at Novaworld -- it isn't actually running there.
You can keep it a private game by making it a passworded game.
If you all live in the same area you can all gather up your pc's and put them on one lan and play together using IPX. Search some of the forums for
LAN parties and/or IPX and you should find some helpful tips.

Thanks DeadBolt. Makes sense now... my friend with the crappiest computer was usually the one to host.
