FARTHEST sniper kills
ok I wanna know who here has gotten the farthest sniper kill? Screenshots help but if you just wanna contribute your distance kill thats fine BTW mines +980M
with a MCRT tactical!

1000, on the stock tkoth map with big arena a guy out the back of there spawn in the low hills, m24 dang near took all my ammo to get him to.

longest sniper shot
I had one that was 1000+ using the Barrett.. and i used about a half clip to hit the guy. I was playing the foxhole map, and i was laying behind
the dark black hill off to the right of the tower, and the guy i shot was laying across the map on top of one of the hills behind the tower. I don;t
even think he saw me shooting at him

Btw my longest sniper kill must be 50m (m60), but then again, im no sniper :D
(didnt take a SS of that crappy range though, but you will at least belive it)

I dont think anyone is bs here even with out ss...the explainions sound creditable, and I recon 99% of the ppl here are pretty straight up guys...the
others tend to get a hard time and left lol
I did get a guy at 720 with a car, mind u i pretty good with that, even in cqb....res was set at 800 at the time on 19 inch momitor, pickedhim up in
binocs and sprayed the general area

ya very nice i personally like that level in tkoth the stock maps with the no buildings thorughout the whole map that one i rule at but sadly my game
is down i dunno why i cant reinstallit after i messed around with trying to install new terrain for BHD im so sad if u can help me at all plz say

Yeah the fog was a bit of a bummer, but think it's cos of that map, it's a bit foggy. - Devils Dogs - Think if it was desert funeral, or a map based
on it, then u'd do better, as the fog distance is further on that map.

can i jst say, that its not always the distance that matters, but the actual shot - i mean - i play BHD over LAN and with the barratt, a 700m shot
over open terrain isnt 2 hard - but if u've got to hit a target, where u can only see the tip of their head over say 250m, tghat can be a harder
challenge - good sniping isnt oly distance, but its adapting to the terrain of the map, and the movements of your target

I agree close range sniping can be loads of fun you also have to be even more stealthy

i think about 400-500m
i sometimes use a saw m60 or m240 to snipe. find target with nocs, then open up
in DFLW i use maily the oicw for its versitility. 1st shot was a head shot at 550M target was running perpendicular to my line of sight . this was
5%skill 95% luck for my first shot is usually just to figure lead then i open up on semiauto. i also have killed at 250-300M using the jackhammer talk
about a confused target
since the jackhammer is a shotgun peps look all around themselfs for you when u r actually at a tough gunning distance the reason this works is there
are 12 balls per shell with a pattern of about 20-30M across at that range 10 shells=120 balls
oh ya and aim high. high enough target is off screen in some cases then quickly check shot pattern with nocs if middle of pattern is on target open up
untill ur killed target is killed or ur out of ammo hehe
MOJO makes a good point skill isnt only in hitting a target at range its harder to hit a moving target at 100M CQB type terrain than a stationary
target at 700-800M in open terrain.
that is with any sniper rifle with maybe the exception of the M21 which is just a M14 modified with a heavier barrel which is probably the best for
shorter ranges than most of the other sniper rifles i think it also has the highest cyclic rate of all sniper rifles available

falcon nice ballistics knowledge ,again sniping isnt about the range and distance, if u ever talk to a real sniper or hunter he can tell u that
stealth, target accuisation and being able to stalk ur prey is the key. the M21 is basicaly a M14 with a scope on top, they would attach scopes on
there M14's in Vietnam so they could snipe, if u look at the M21's back in Nam u could see that thre alot differnt from the M21's of today. btw my
farthest kill was 1km kill with all weap on a sniper traing map which there are 131 targs over 1km long, can show u the SS's

yep gotta agree I could possibly be one of the most stealthy snipers although i know people who are just insane but they have no life...anyway ya
stealth is a major component in sniping if u wanna run around standing on hills picking [Censored] off with ur m21 fine but dont
expect to get a great score cuz anyone with a steady hand can pick u off standing even at 600m. U cant have good accuracy without stealth cuz if u go
blastin around in the open u gonna get ur **** shot off SCUSE the LANGUAGE ADMIN!!:D
