Maps won't load

I have recently started making maps for my squad and I have a problem thats driving me crazy. I make the map extract it and then open up the game to test it. But when I go to single player game the map is not there. I have an XP system the game is up to dat and I have the latest Mission editor for Win 2k and XP.

OK, you said you made the map. Make sure you "Export as a Binary Mission" in other words, make a bms file. If you just save it, your saving the med file, (mis file), that the med uses.

Thanks for the reply. I have exported to binary and can see the BMS in the dflw folder & it still doesn't work.

Have you placed player start markers for the type of game you want? Have you read the Med Manual, and had a play with the sample mission? I'm not sure how new you are to mapping.

Regards

OK, so you made the map, saved it as a mis, and exported it to a bms. You run DFLW and can see the map. you select the map, then what happens, can you give a better description, any error messages etc? or does it just hang?

Regards

if you are wanting to test/play in single player

check to see if it shows up under multi player
1. open dflw
2. select multi player options
3. select host multi player
check through all multi player gametypes
COOP,DM,TDM ect ect... if you see it there this means you have selected a gametype in general information in the dflwmed if a gametype is selected it will not show up in single player missions.

to set a map in single player
1. open dflwmed
2. open map
3. select edit
4. select general information
5. in the map types box(top right) make sure no gamtype is selected COOP,DM,TDM ect ect....
6. export binary mission

to play/test your map up as a single player mission
1. open dflw
2. select single player
3. select quick missions
4. select desired mission(your new map should be above "delta force training mission" )
5. click accept
6. click start mission

!!!!!!!IF THIS WORKS PLEASE READ THE DFLWMED MANUAL THOROUGHLY!!!!!!!!
(it is on your dflw cd)

or DL one from this site bottom link

if you have tried all this and it still doesnt work try exporting .BMS under a different name

or try a ssn purge click top link for instructions

your welcome/links fixed??

your welcome any time although i would like to know what worked for you

ATTENTION:EAGLE EYE
what was wrong with the links? so in the future i can set them right so you dont have to edit them.
i had to set them at the bottom of the page otherwise they included the text that was under them is this supposed to happen? could the bad links have had something to do with that?

After you posted them, they had /> on the end, these links don't work then, to stop it, just put a space at the end of the url. This will stop everything typed after the url from becoming highlightted as well.

Regards
