Auto punting?
Hi peeps, i have been using df2 favs for the last few months version 3.0.3.3748 and have noticed i am being auto punted from a selected few servers.
I have tried time and time again to find out why,
I have tried with the ACP on and off this still makes no difference , I do not and have never used any cheats or trainers .
My OS is XP i just find it strange that i even have to reboot my PC before i can rejoin the server, i can play 1 map to 10 maps and stay in the
game , then try and play the same amount the next day i get auto punted at random, i play in many servers but it only seems to happen in a selected
few sniper servers,
It happens at any point in the game .Its becoming very frustrating , espeacially if i have to play in a match in any of these servers .
Any help would be apreciated.

If you had the ACP on you should definitely notice a difference -- you will get punted back to the join screen after about 20 seconds into the first
map.
It sounds a bit like a map problem or a map glitch -- you run around a corner for example and pop, you are out of the game.
There are many 24/7 servers that are using favs/cb that are not exhibiting this problem -- that is why I would guess a map issue.

if you are on dailup.. (like me & most of my buds LOL).. your ping could be terrible to the host.. & the host could do a puntcrc (i think??) which
will punt those with poor responce time to the host...
If there was a problem with the CB.. it would either punt a specific name.. so try changing up yoru name just slightly.. and/or the CB would just punt
you on 1 map.. and then let you back in on the next... I've never had any other problems than those... except in S&D servers LOL.

At first i thought itwas a connection prob (yeah i got dial -up) but then i noticed i was the only one with this problem and noone else had this
problem and this also happened b4 the use of the cb , but then i realised that it wasnt the ping as i play on many different servers and even on the
servers with higher pings i didnt get auto punted, it was only when deadbolt pointed out about the buildings ect in the maps that i realised it was
most likely a map problem. if i move too quickly ie run then move to left left or lay down near a building but not actually in it then zap im gone.
also if there is too much detail in the map. ( maybe its also time for me to upgrade graphics on my PC ect lol).

If you know the server host you can try to get them to start the game using /L as a command line option.
That will cause punt reasons to get logged to a text file in the DF2 folder (sorry, can't remember the name of the file at the moment).
