terrains
does any1 know how to make terrain jpgs look like this.they look like pictures and r really high quality.

Rgr , Heres how that was done . Take and make your height map first in 256 grey scale and this will give you all your contours.Then convert it to 24
bit true color and you will see the rings to your contours show more from here you can load a color pallet and it will put all the chosen colors to
there closet matching colors in the pic or you can zoom in and place the colors manually.For that image you posted which consists of only 1 pic
flipped and turned each way and then placed in quadrents. I use paint shop pro and adobe photo shop to do them which offers lots of detailing tools,
and lots of trial and errors the colors in that pic have changed but the update was not released yet and will not be released to feb 2004.
