Suggestion for a map (COOP)
Hey folks, I'm one of the managers over at GAK and I hear ideas from members and visitors all the time. I've put some of the things that I've heard
together and come up with this.
See what you guys can do about an escort map. Remember the BHD map where you had to go up and clear out all of the hostiles before you could blow up a
roadblock? That should be one aspect, but that should be only one aspect. Here's my Idea. One or more people must be escorted to safety. Their convoy
of unarmed vehicles were hit and disabled. You must helocast in to secure the area while an APC will come in to collect the friendlies. Secure the
area and then clear any roadblocks. Now comes the tricky part. It's "MadMax" time. You are now the escort and must send a team forward to clear out
any mines(shoot a radio or something) and take out any javelins. Part of the team better stay with the vehicle also to mabe sure that it isnt hit from
the rear. You may also want to add some friendlies(pistols only) that will attatch to each dignitary along the way to provide personal security if
possible.
See what you guys can come up with and let us know.

LOL...seems like that scenario would work just fine for a map. Why not have your crew put it together?

I'm no mapper myself. I did get permission once to modify V_Box from V_Bear and I put in some civilians and upped the enemy weapons. I also moved a
few walls and things, but I'm not one who can really stary from scratch to build something like that. I can come up with plenty of suggestions for you
real mappers out there. Most coop maps out there allow for too much freedom and don't make folks work together. I mean, it's ok for snipers to work
alone sometimes, but only to an extent. COOP maps really need to be made more to a point where you have to work as a team and communicate with your
teammates. Snipers can distinguish from friendlies and enemies at a distance and get off those kill shots. engeneers can use mortors to clear an area
that you know to be all enemy controled. I'd just like to see some new maps that force you to work as a team that way and also allow you to use all
of your resources.
