Naming Map Locations on DFX Maps

I'm sure this question has been asked and answered somewhere in DFBarracks but I've read so many posts the last few days that my eyes are starting to :( CROSS :( and I haven't found an answer yet.
Here's my question:
I'm starting to make coop/sp maps and I wanted to find out how to get the names of BASES to show up on my maps using .WAC files? I've been told it can be done.

just answered this same question at Nova HQ. yes it can be done but you need a .bin file only. download this: http://wtf-squad.com/PHP-Nuke/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=29&ttitle=Bin_File_for_DFX/JO It has an editable bin file and the converter to make it an actual bin file and not text.

now add your map name location, and give it the correct number in area info/name that coresponds to the one in your bin file. heres a sample of the bin file names, the last number before the = is the number you add to the map named location in the item atributes window. you can make as many as you want too.

'[LOCATIONS]'
LOCATION000 = "Campsite";
LOCATION001 = "Village";
LOCATION002 = "Boathouse";

You can customize the waypoint names and goals as well, but everyone who plays the map will need both wac and bin files to see the custom names. so if its coop use a waypoint or goal/lose that is similar to the one you have custom named. this way if someone doesnt have the files they can still play and know what the goals are.

It's done in the bin file..then you place the marker "Name Map Location".

You must then edit the item attributes, and change the number in the area info..the default is 0, so the first one you place will not need editing..

EG..bin entry..

'[LOCATIONS]'
LOCATION000 = "Objective Talon";
LOCATION001 = "Objective Shrike";
LOCATION002 = "Point Bishop";

Named Locations ARE transfered via the net, and only the host need have the file if this is ALL you have added..waypoint names and custom objectives are NOT transfered, and all players will need the bin..

:DHey EE . . . it wasn't your advice that I had doubts about. It was my abilities to get it to work. I've been known to screw up automatic updates before LOL.

Thanks for the help! It worked like a champ (after I screwed it up a few times).:o
