??Sound Event after mission in CTF??

I know how to make the sounds work. Sounds work except for one dilema.

I am trying to make it say, "That's all of them, good work." after the last flag is turned in.

I hear it as the host, but others in the room don't hear it.

I have the event like this:

If group 3 has lost 10 or more units OR
group 4 has lost 10 or more units

Play wavefile list 315

I don't have any of the boxes checked, the "post mission" and "pre mission" and "reset after" and "delay" are all unchecked and default to zero

I tried it with post mission event checked with just playing the sound file. Nothing heard either as host or player.

I tried it with "lost x flags" with xx second delay. I hear it as host, but players don't hear it.

I tried it with "lost x flags" with 0 second delay. I hear it as host, but players don't hear it.

I know there's a way to do this, I've been in servers where I've heard the dialogue after the last flag was turned in. I just can't figure it out. I hear it as host but never as player.

Oh, yeah, I've also tried it as:

group x all destroyed, play wavefile list x

I hear it as host, but players don't hear it.

Voices reply

Well, I commited to Alice one of my friends knew the answer and this is the reply i got.

lol............yes - I have that secret! And I have ALL the voices! I know what they say & when they say it > it's unique to CFM ONLY> I will not be giving that out to ALICE =AOD=.......lol! It's a Major Map making secret. Maybe $200.00US? Dunno. But it will die out with CFM most likely.

Thanks anyways!

Cool =:)

I am hoping someone a little less selfish can give us the answer.

I could have asked him first but didn't want to. I didn't ask him to begin with cause I didn't think he'd want to share, so I went elsewhere.

I like COOL CANADIAN, he's a nice guy and he has an awesome server and really great maps. I just think it's time for a little friendly competition as well as new challenges.

If the secret dies with him, I don't really care. If I ever find out or not, I really don't care, however, it would be nice to know.

If I can get this to work on my maps, hey, all the better. I'd be thrilled. If not, then oh well. I doesn't affect the quality or playablity of the maps. It's just an extra little "gimme" that's kinda neat.

I'll keep asking around. Some mapping guru out there is sure to have the answer for this little old lady who will probably die before DF2 does.

Guess what. Cool paid my sever a visit tonight.

I noticed, that when he came into my server, the post- mission sound event worked. I heard it.

After he left, it no longer worked. I found that quite interesting.

I believe it's got something to do with the DF2 program itself or a program running along with it? He must have tweeked the program somehow, or has something running in addition to DF2 that makes the sound event work.

Any programming geniuses out there have any idea how he accomplished this and is willing to share?
