AAS map tutorial request

A & S Tutorial Request

I have searched the map builders forum and can find no reference to making JO Advance and Secure maps with NILE. I posted similar in the DFX MED forum and have sorted it in that editor. But others in my squad are using the NILE.

If one of you guys could knock out a quick tutorial (or post a link to one) I would be very grateful as it would save me many hours of trial and error.

The things I need to know are: what spawn markers to use, what base markers to use, how to set them red, blue, naming them A-B-C etc. And how to get an X base for each team.

Regards

Steve

A tutorial for making an AAS map is quite a loose term.. its the same as mapping for any other game type, apart from , the questions you asked, such as markers and so on.

if you wanted you could also create events for an AAS map, but hey thats going off topic.

The things I need to know are: what spawn markers to use,
well theres two.

the first one is
start, blue team

the second is
start, red team

simply place one blue in the JO base, and one Red in the reels base

dont use the start player marker, this is only relevant to COOP game types.

what base markers to use, how to set them red, blue, naming them A-B-C etc.

By this i think you mean PSP's . Player spawn points show up on the spin map , represented with a letter such as you described, and as you know, you can then battle it out to take hold of the psp.

psp configuration can be a little tricky, it varies from map type to map type... i personally am a COOP designer, but i thought id post a reply to yu , as somthings gotta be beter than nothing, right?

what i can tell you , its to do with the LFP and team numbers, in the configuration of the psp's within nile.

place a psp in the Rebels base

place one in the middle of the map,

place on in the JO base.

now edit the config of the PSP in the rebels base, change its team number to 2 , and its LFP number to 1.

now with the psp i n the middle of the map, change its lfp number to 2. leave its team number as 0.

now the psp in the JO base, change itsLFP number to 1, and its team number to 1. try this,m and post back and let me know if this configuration works correctly.

And how to get an X base for each team.
the first question you asked answered this. start blue, and start red team markers determine where the players will be placed when they press X

hope this has bee of some help ;)

Thanks, Brad

I now have it working as I want.

I'm now off to search the forum for WAC info as adding wacs will be my next project.

Cheers

The tut I did for the "Med" also applies to NILE, just find the equivalent edit properties in NILE..

The markers are also the same in that tut....

I originally learned how to do this with NILE, then applied the same info to the "Med"..
