AI threatens so. without shooting him
A simple question :
Is it possible to make AIs threaten someone with a gun but not shooting.
Since I want to integrate a scene where an AI tells the player to drop the gun.
You know what I mean ?
thx a lot

maybe make your enemy blind and deaf and point him in the direction of the other man.he will stay in that position with his gun pointed towards
him. Also make the other man with the gun blind and deaf. When you get near them you might make an event that turns blind and deaf off. Custom dialog
would be good here.

I got it :
I just set the terrorist to deaf and blind but to red alert ... so he?s pointing at me but is not shooting.
With an event I can set terrorist to hear and see and then he starts shooting at me.
Thx for your tipp

beserk does as the name implies it sets the AI to beserk they attack anything friend or foe but being blind they wouldnt shoot but i thought they
would act beserk
i have done this in BHD i set gators to blind and beserk they look as if they are eating a wounded soldier just thought it might work in DFLW

ok it wouldnt change thier facial expression any just thought it might make them move around more as if they are mad or nervous.
sorry should of explained better that i thought thier actions would change and make them appear agitated.
bezerk definatly works, but to see the full effect they have to be not blind
if u want to see a funny sight put about 30 AI in an area set them to blind and bezerk then have some trigger(like an area trigger of shooting a
barrel) that sets them all to not blind.
your right i tested it bezerk dont make a diff when the AI are set to blind
red alert and yellow alert does the same thing
for the best affect i set the AI to guarding, standing, blind, deaf, and ignore everything but footsteps that is if you want the AI to aim at and
follow the player

Thx for the suggestion because I set the AI to ignore footsteps as well ... i thought , if he can hear footsteps he would shoot at me.
I?ll check it out and set the AI to hear footsteps and I?ll get back to you.

Set the ai to blind and they wont shoot. thats all you need to set to keep them from shooting. if you set them for deaf they wont move at all.
ignore footsteps and gunfire are for when you have an ai sitting in a building that you want watching a doorway and not turning to follow the
grenades, gunfire and your footsteps thus keeping him from facing a different direction than what you set them for.
