Yes, it has to be in your game directory folder or it will not work.

Use Windows explorer, make sure that the dfbhdmedv205c.exe is in the folder with the game files, and not in another folder by itself.

If it's not there, put it there..same folder as the DFBHD.exe file..

Then, resize the windows explorer window so that you can see your desktop, click on the dfbhdmedv205c.exe, then, right click on it, drag the dfbhdmedv205c.exe to your desktop, let go, then let go on "Create shorts here".

i unzipped it and opened it. but it says "Unable to load file med bin file", then "Unable to load file game bin file" then "Unable to load default waypoint bin file" then it opens up but everything says "Bad Texttool String".

Read the posts above, it says that because you have NOT got the dfbhdmedv205c.exe is in the folder with the game files..

You should be able to download it .. and extract it to your game directory..

This should create the med file in the game directory.. it wont overwrite the original med.. because it has a different name.. so you will have both the original and the new one.. but your desktop shortcut wont point to the new one it will still point to the original one.

EE suggested above to create a new shortcut on your desktop which points to the new map editor.. you can use his method.. or right click your desktop.. choose new shortcut.. and then use the browse box to find the new med.. give the shortcut a name.. like Pappys Mission Editor .. then when you want the original one .. you can use your original shortcut.. and when you want pappys you can use its shortcut..

You could also just browse to the game directory in 'my computer' an click the new med .. and avoid the shortcuts alltogether.. but anyhow.. the new map editor must be extracted to the game directory to work..
