error parsing mis file


Hi i'm hoping some one can help me with this small problem.........i've recently replaced my computor with a much more powerful 1 (dual core etc etc.........) when i moved my dfx files from the old hard drive to the new.....i can't now get into my mis. files.........i get the error........'error parsing mis.file' i've also noticed that some of the file associations have changed.........the game file runs...when i run it from the dfx host....so what is the prob?????....i need to finish this map it would be a shame to lose it after all the work i've put into it!!!

Did you actually reinstall DFX to the new drive, or just copy over the files.

Parsing is the same as reading..but in your case, the med can't read the mis file.

Are you sure your usingthe mis, and not a renamed bms....

Are you sure there where no errors transfering the files?

mis files are not usually associated with anything..

Are you trying to open them by double clicking, or opening through the med?

Thankyou for the swift reply....in the mean time I took everything back to the start and reloaded the files....its now working fine!!!??? thanks for your help......exellent forum by the way!:cool:

there is no doubt. I have gleaned more information from these forums then I care to elaborate. The answers are usually fast and accurate and there are alot of people inputing so you are sure to find something you can use. My hat is off to you all. LT. Roc of the coopvets, 13th platoon.
