there's going to be a new mod out some time that is like the old demo 1.
you can carry the CAR-15 and M21 at once, or, a new addition to it, the M16 and Barrett (or the CAR-15 and Barrett, whichever you chose).
My question to the community is, I just found a butt-load of old demo maps today. However they aren't exactly the most fun ones in the world (Some
are). They include: Atlantis, Dust bowl, high desert, opflat, streetfighter (Definite add), and vlads castle day.
looking at them, if they were to get put into something like the dfbarracks database, then a lot of them would get 2/10 ratings.
but, they are also old demo maps you may have memories of. I will definitely be adding vlad's castle and streetfighter, but are any of these maps you
all would like to see.
please do not go posting in this topic "i want to see this one" if you never played the demo 1. i am not expecting too many constructive replys b/c i
think a lot of the old demo guys have left.
But here's the planned maps atm (look thru this list without springin a rubbery one.. just kidding, i stole that line):
Dragon's trench (99% redone - i didnt touch the humvee waypoints but no flashing objects, less lag, looks a ton better)
Dragon's Forts
Dragon's Offices
Dragon's Towers
Firing Range
Highway of Death
KWK Klose_EnKounter
The Pyramid
Operation: Oasis Attack (Schweetest map ever imo)
Medieval Castle
Bridge Crossing
Street Fighter
Vlad's Castle
City Limits (Mean streets for all you people that haven't played old demo) Day, and Night version (Woot)
All of these maps are going to have armories and a lot of these are already done and tested.
But my question is, would you like to see all of the old demo maps I can gather, or just the good ones?
I have like 4 other maps at lesat that I know are old demo maps. I also have the ones I just found today in a DFBarracks download.
The mod will have the old background, the red team's black camouflage, the old sounds, and i can seriously hope a few other things like the old
emplaced weapons and stuff, but since I'm not the one doing it, I'm not going to comment on this.
Possible name for this mod will be "Retro Mod" its a lot better than "Old demo mod" lol.
also props to sofaking leet for bringing quite a few of these maps to my attention..."
