WAV list (partial)


With a little help from Chrislew200 and UCMJ, I was able to extract some of the WAVs and determine their messages.

Here's a partial list.
Note, for some of the WAVs, I used numbers at the end to reflect if more wavs of the same type.

I have started to do these, there's about 520 wave files, I have converted them all, and will hopefully finish and post in the next week or so..

thats all fine and dandy, but is there a way someone can show me how to use them because i read threw the manual and didnt see anything on how to use WAVs? and i've skimmed over lots of other sites and havnt found stuff on how to use them. so a little help or a site would be very helpful and appreciated

The Mission Editor doesn't support WAVs. You need to create a WAC file (a simple text file with lines of code in it) to get WAVs to play.

The basic overview is to open Notepad, enter something like this:

// we have heavy perimeter defense
if ssnarea(10000,4) and wavready() and never() then
wave("alph213.wav", 150)
endif

And then save the save the file with the save name as your mission & give it an extension of .wac

Example: MyMissionName.WAC

The above WAC file will play the WAV file "we have heavy perimeter defense" when the player (10000) enters area 4.

No Mate, and there's no need to Shout LOL..I'm not Blind..!!

I've been to busy the past few weeks here at home, and have hardly logged into DFB at all, let alone done work for my own site, or work for this site..
