Large buildings (sky scrapers)
Good afternoon:
Where does one get the tall bulidings that we've all seen in several maps?
I'd like to add a couple to a map, downtown thing, you know.
I'm talking of the sky scrapers...the really big ones.
I guess this goes along with the massive concrete structures I've seen in maps.
An example was a map I saw had a concrete dam built across a river. The water on the upside of the dam was right to the top, while the water on the
down hill side was just a small river about 200 feet or so below the rim.
The question is how does someone do that with the water? Two different heights?

im just guessing here since i doont have JO but with all of NOVAS other FPS you cant raise water level diffent levels at differnt points on the map
they can only be raise to one level so the water would be continously the same level throughout the map. as crhis has said its probably a water fall
pitched on its side.
the large skyscrapper buildings and the dam are probably custom made objects made with several of the same or several different objects a skilled
mapmaker can make custom objects so well that you think they are are in the MED WHO42, DZINE, P1GS1CK
are some examples of great mappers who can make custom items that can fool someone into thinking that they are in the MED

you have to build them yourself using concrete blocks, sand and mortar. You might need a few concrete lintels and don't forget the fire doors. lol
seriously you have to use the concrete slabs and flip em etc

Hummm...
Thanks for the quick responses.
I see, placing concrete panels on thier sides and stacking them up.
The map I saw had only 6 buildings in it and they were extremely high, about 40 stories.
There were walk ways around between the tops of the buildings and the only way you could get to the tops was by chopper, how convenient...
I'll give the slabs a try to see what I can come up with.
Thanks again. all
