Hmmm...nothing but black & white tv. Only two or three channels...Sky King. Back then, parents could pound the heck out of you without the threat of going to jail. Being restricted meant ...you couldn't go outside to play.

I remember Commodore 64, and the old tape machine drives. omg.....

I also remember how nice it was when Playstation came out. The internet was still young then.....its grown up so fast....(sob*):(

I also remember stopping the game clock in Final Fantasy 7 at 99:99:99 because I had to level up high enough to defeat the Ruby and Emerald weapons. now that is serious RPG game time......

i dont remember when the internet first came out, but i have heard of it, sounds to slow for my liking. I do remember playstation and most of the game systems before it, just think at one time the atari was pushing game graphics to the limits. Look how far we have come and think of how far we can go.

Again.. I can't resist bring back ye old ones....
I'll get those posts again... Don't do that!.. but what the heck, I have something to remember too...

I remember, when the whole world, I knew was my neighbourhood and the kindergarten... was so nice, when i didn't know, what crap happens in the world... killing, famine, crime, drugs... was so nice to ride on my BMX bike... I got those extra wheels, but figured out how to maintain balance, so I got rid of them quckly... I didn't have a PC nor cabel on my TV, I went to my neighbours to watch Cartoon Network... of course I didn't knew what that was... I remember that cartoon "2 stupid dogs"... was hillarious and I didn't even knew any English back then... the first PC game, I got was Stunts.. still have it, lol... even if it's 17 years old, no other game similar to that one was never made... builded my own race tracks and customized cars...

people were so nice back then... I accidentally went to my neighbour and got a cookie... now that neighbour builded a 2 metres high fence, so we can't even see to his backyard... back then, there was no fence.. just some logs, that improvised a "fence"...

I remember my first kiss I got from a girl in the kindergarten... actually got little further, but thats against the rules to post it here... that peeping under skirt stuff.. lol...

But most of all, I remember, when my dad liked me :(....

lol ive been wondering where this thread was banished to. BUMPED!

Might aswell contribute...

I remember what it was like not having a computer or a console. I just went out into teh street on my bike, got covered in dirt and made ant colonies fight each other. Then i had to be back at like 6:30 or else!

I remember all those good shows they had on TV back then. Nowadays its all bloody reality crap and crap actors.

Hmmm....oh, i also remember how easier school was. Not that im complaining now, since ive finished school, but dang it was hard. Not that i really did anything...

There there SAS. My situation is obviously different to yours, for all i know, the last my dad spoke to me was aeons ago. At first it annoyed me and made me assume things, but now im just like "If he doesnt want to speak to me, thats his bloody problem!" He'll come crawling back.

At least most here ha some sort of game growing up, I was too poor in New Zealand, most of my fun consisted of riding this bicycle I found, with no tires, just rims, so at night I'd amuse the block by riding it at night, hitting the brakes, showing sparks..lol

Wow, this is an old post...but a good one.

I gotta agree with Front-Liner...back then the world was on a bike or in the woods...

There were no computers in the home. The Atari was the big game sys to have and the TV only had 5 channels and dad had to manually rotate the antenna outside to make the pic better...lol

Kite wars and wheelie contests on the bike were the 'in' thing to do.... Hot Wheels, GI Joes and model building were the things that occupied time...

I think EE was already grey then...lol

I remember back when we (teenagers) were too young to care what people looked like or how they dressed, and just played with eachother and had fun... now everyone is really judgemental... basically, over half my school hates me for the way I dress and/or what I believe... I'm one of the few who doesn't care what people look like or anything and will talk to them and stuff as long as they are nice...

LMAO.... if I spend more time online, I'll be the one crawling on the floor... My father likes to save money&stuff like crazy.... threatens me, that he's gonna shut down my internet line and restrict the time, I'm on the comp.... and he watches TV 8 hours a day, lol...

I remembered, when I had my first bike accident.. tripped over some cement block in the kindergarten... everyone said to me: Its gonna be ok, don't worry, but when my mom saw me, she smacked me... still can't figure it out why....My parents are old school... literally.. if everything was by their standarts, we should be living in Victorian England...

lmao that would be AWESOME! Back in the day it would be anyway...

It was also great when we'd have contests on our bikes in the dying light of a late afternoon. We'd pedal up as fast as we could and then hit the breaks on some dirt driveway to see how much dust we'd make and to see how long the resulting skid mark went. I also remember once while coming down hill on my pushy, going insanely fast and then.....................................hitting the front breaks. Over the handle bars i went...:D
