There are 3 ways to use Wavs in a SP map!!!
Dialogs Files and Wac files
-To use the wavs in the Mission Editor, You can use the .DBF , .LWF file, wich is edit with the Hex Editor.
You CANNOT use customs Wavs in the dialogs.
you may want to read this threads:
Using the .LWF for dialog with out tools.
-To Use the Wac file, wich is more EASY to use, And allow you to use Customs WAV's files and DF:BHD wavs, you may want to try this tutorials and
Threads:
WAC commands in DFB
Wac comands in Delta Falcons

-To use the Dialog editor, that use the .DBF , .PWF , that is to use CUSTOMS wavs ONLY, read this tutorial and threads:

The most simple way to use wave files is to review this tutorial
It will show you how to use wave files and have text displayed.
Then you may also want to go thru the wac commands thread
