Looks to me like the water level is set too high. but theres no download so i couldnt check it out in the editor, or at least in the game to test that
theory.

The water is set to high,The reason your seeing the tiny grid like effects is that the water tile is only a 256 by 256 graphic file and repeats its
self over and over,Looks retarded in all maps when set to high but hey what can ya do. To see an example set up a map with a high mountain and put the
spawn point on it then raise the water and have a look

As i remember df2 never did have a good water effect. But i wish they kept the tall grass and ghullie suit in later versions.

Actually it could be the graphics. If you have Hardware 3D on you will ahve the water problem. Me and my bro can never play in 3d mode because of the
water problem. I run a GeForce 4 MX 440 and he runs a GeForce 4 MX 420. Even with latest updates its no good.

fixed that and then i got this dang hight map error crap so i went to look at his terrain he selected and there wasn't one even though it showed there
was on the map editor display thing and now it works... boy oh boy!!!!:P

You can find out what terrain he used by opening it with note pad. Good to know if you come across a map you dont have the terrain for.
