Walking into a music area

I can't seem to get my second music trigger to work. The original music seems to play (when I begin in that area trigger), but the music does not seem to change. Any ideas? Thanks.

You might try this

Presuming your using a wac file, try looking at using the ELAPSE command in there somewhere, it might work for you as well, I had the same problem with the wave command and the ammo2tgt command, I had some great help from a couple of guys on here and finally sorted it.

if event(0) and elapse(4) and waveready() then
wave("dirt24.wav", 200)
endif

Look for these 2 topics in this forum

No sound with particle fx, need bullet sound on dirt

and

wave WAC command, ammo2tgt WAC command tutorial

There is also a full PDF tutorial on wac commands by chrislew200 in this forum somwhere but I'm late for work so I'll post that as soon as I get home, unless someone out there can do it for me.

Regards

Listen friends

its about the hight of the area triggers and the numbers. If you place music areas you must work perfectly.

Also in missions when you jump in an other music area the music sometimes dont change so quick so you have to wat.

it's about the terrain you use to.Cuz there are hight distances at higher ground and flat grounds.

You can download all the bhd missions and see how they done it ,then you just do the same.I think you can get them at www.chalkthree.com;)

Geez more stuff to learn!!

NO WAY! Not more stuff to learn, I was just getting the hang of ammo2tgt and stuff like that and you have to put in a link with more stuff to look at:(, now I'm gonna cry.
Out of curiosity are we on about ambient music or like one off sounds, or does it all just work the same way. I haven't delved into doing ambient music yet so I'm presuming you would use the wac files? I dunno maybe I'm just thick, lol.

We are talking about setting up music in an Area Trigger, no wac, no events, just the Item Attributes setup of an Area Trigger...

Like in the Deafult SP games, there is music when your in certain areas..I suppose you would call it ambient music!
