MMm, We don't know yet.

The room take down is anothers of the things that NovaLogic have keep it in secret.

But also you can take a look at this:
Room Takedown Icon
Stupid teamates dont follow me accuratly
.AIN file make your teammates to follow accurately

Ok, The AIN file make your teammates to follow acurately.
BUT, I Think It also may be for the Room take Down. I will check this out, and as soon i get result i will posted in here.

But, by now, you can try do to due MANUALLY.
So, you can place the Waypoints for your teammates along the walls.

Thanks.
J.L.

OZAIR well now you know its a .AIN file ask NOVA about that file and then if they are trying to stop people from finding out about this file you will get them in a real sweat. they might decide to put out an AIN editor before some one else gets the credit for making the program.

The Med clearly States that it is an "Unsupported Product"..this means they don't answer questions, or support it in any way.....

That's why theres places like DFB, and we only know what we do by sharing...

So, to expect Nova to release Editors for their files is a waste of time..they just have no interest...

BHD was releasd early in 2003, originally due for release in October 2002..but as usual, it was late..

Yes, we all agree that Nova doesn't do such a great job with Med's, but, it's better than nothing.

One of the reasons the DF series is popular, is the ease the user has in mapping.

There is no ther game that I know of, where the user can map "Out of the Box", as easy as it is with the DF series.

I tend to agree with Nova, it would be a huge expense in support Staff and forum to support the Med, although, of course, I think they should have released all the tools they used to create maps..

So, we as mappers have to bite the bullet, and create the best maps we can, with the tools available.

If won't do you ant good to continually curse Nova, put that energy into your maps..

MAKING ROOM TAKE DOWN

Hi, i just make a map with room takeDown, and i want to tell you guys how to make rooms take Down.

STEP 1 :
Extract the .AIN and .BMS file from you .pff of any Novaligic BHD SP map that have room take down. then, BMS2MIS and raname the files with the name of your map.

STEP 2 :
Now, you can delete all the bildings, foliage, deco, markers, events, vehicles, etc.
BUT, DON'T DELETE the Main building in wich the roomtake down take place.
Make sure the Main building in wich the roomtake down take place is in the Exact localitation of the original. You cannot move the Main building in wich the roomtake down take place.

STEP 3 :
Now, you should have the Main building in the exact localitation of the original. Now, you can begin to construct your map arround the Main building....
Thats it.
*****************
To see an example of a custom map with room take down, check my last map Pfc. Lynch Rescue Mission , Then BMS2MIS and check that the position of the U.S. builing is the same exacty position of the SPBHD_013 "Diplomatic community"

So Easy, right!!!:D:);)

joselz stated in a different post somewhere, that he thinks, and I tend to agree, that the info is stored in the ain file as well as the Room Takedown info.

It probably has map reference co-ordinates that quide the teammates...sort of like the Camera, when you use the Cin, and End files for the intro and ending...

Too Difficult

Joselz you idea is great but it take too much time. I want to put room takedown the bulding of Sister Bld. Which is not put in any single player mission.

Is there a complete solution here?

Unless there is a Stock Map that uses that building, then your out of luck Oz..we can't make a new ain file..so you have to use an existing one.

Looking at joselz's post above, there may be an easier way...to edit out all the crap..

You could try this... create a new map, on P1, open an existing map that uses a Room Takedown, in P2, create a new map, same terrain as the map in P1, then copy the building used for the takedown from P1, to P2, just use the co-ordinates to place it in exactly the same plaace as it was in P1...even using a different terrain way work..but it depends on the absolute Z values..if the building is the same absolute Z height, as it was in the P1 map, I see no reason why it wouldn't work..when finished...rename the ain from the map in P1, to the name of your new map.
