Loading screen and spawninf when u die?
i have been working on a map recently, it is a tkoth, it is oretty good but has 2 main problems (well 1 , the other 1 i would just like to know how to
do it)
1. when someone dies they respawn where they died (if they press "space bar for primary respawn), and was wondering how to change this, is there a
.bin file i need?
2. when playing a custom map recently i noticed he had got the loading screen up (when the game is loading, u get the screen shots and breifing up) i
was wondering how you do this, yes it was a custom map!
any information on these subjects would be appreciated

I havent played with the JO editor too much, but they way it used to be is that u have the Primary makers, which is where ppl will start when the map
first loads, then u have normal start markers for respawns... eg. Red Primary Start Markers, and Red Start Markers.

As far as I'm aware, the loading screen can only be seen by those that have downloaded and placed that particular image file in their JO directory.

Well I just wonder whether it was my map (TD - Chun Gu Swamps) you were playing...? possibly not, but I made my loadscreen in concordance with the
official ones, briefing, situation etc. If you check my topic below this one in the forum, I have a tutorial and Photoshop PSD ready and waiting to
go, I just have no way to host it. I was hoping EE might allow me to host it on the Barracks but theres been no reply yet so...
Oh and the player start thing I had the same problem. I found that I had gone over limit on the number of objects and when you do, the last objects
you placed, dont show up in game.
MAX:
Waypoints : 128
Triggers: 128
Organics: 256
Vehicles, emplaced weapons, and some dynamic items: 1200
Decorations, buildings, foilage: 1200
Markers: 768
Oh, and you have to do 'save as' as well as the 'save' button. Dont know why but it seems to make the difference.

OK, the reason your spawning in the same place is because you have the wrong spawn markers, don't use the player start, use the "start , Red Team",
and "start, Blue Team" markers..for any map where there are teams..the Player start is for SP and Coop
If you want an intro screen, I have a psd in the download section you can use, it's a cut out from thr stock one..create a pcx file and name it the
same as your file name, but, use it for SP only, if you use it for other multiplayer, only the host will see it..have you noticed Nova only did them
for the SP/Training missions..
