.AIN file make your teammates to follow accurately

I extract All the file from "SPBHD_19",
Then I Rename all files with "MILE".
Then BMS2MIS.
Then Delete ALL ENEMYES, MARKERS, VEHICLES And Events.
So, I only Leave the Player marker and my teammates and Building/Decorations with foliage.
And then test it. And my teammates were following me Accurately.
Then I Delete the:
. WAC (Special effect)
.Til (tiles)
. DBF (Dialog file)
. LWF (Wav file localization for dialog)
.END (end video)
. PCX (Loading screen)
. BIN (customs mission goals, waypoints, etc)

and i ONLY LEAVE the :
.BMS
.MIS
.AIN

and then test I. And my teammates were following me Accurately.

So, then I exit the game, then DELETE the .AIN File, and test it again.
And my teammates were "NOT" following me Accurately.

Then Restore the .AIN File, then test it again, and my teammates were following me Accurately.

So, Definitively is the .AIN file that make Teammates to follow you accurately.

Ok, Now,
I Select all Items in the MIS, and "MOVE" then to other position.
Then export, And test it again (With MIS, BMS, AIN files).
And my teammates were "NOT" following me Accurately.

Then I just move all The items to they original position.
Then export, And test it again(With MIS, BMS, AIN files).
And my teammates were following me Accurately.

Then I Copy one of the Buildings and Pasted In a "EMPTY" Space.
Then export, And test it again(With MIS, BMS, AIN files).
And my teammates were following me Accurately.
But, when i get to that NEW building, My teammates DID NOT following me Accurately True the building.

What does this mean????
Ok, I think that NOVALOGIC Has done the .AIN true Another program or a Original MED.

I think the AIN file tells the Teammates or ANY PEOPLE, INCLUDING ENEMYS or CIVILS that in a certain spot it is a building. and it give the route that hey should take, to get true the buildings accurately, and follow any one accurately.

However, if you add a another building to the map, the new building will NOT be listed in the AIN file. so people would get stuck in there.
And if you move the Building to other position. The NEW position will not be listed in the AIN file, and people would get stuck in there.

SOLUTION:
So, the only way to make teammates to follow you accurately is Creating or Editing a .AIN file.
But We don't know HOW to create or edit that file.

So, If one day NOVALOGIC decide to post in any DF Forums how to Creating or Edit a .AIN file, will be GREAT.

Note: I am Using MED 2.05c

Thanks
J.L.

Thanks a lot pal

Thanks Pal,
But how do we create a .AIN File?????????????????????????. I think we must put dialogs in the med not in the WAC. I have noticed that the Dialogs for all maps of BHD made by novalogic are in the med in events.

I am still confused by this .AIN file. But thank you for the help.

Ok, if you want to use the dialog, you must have a :
.PWF
.DBF

You would need the "Dialog Editor"
Located in here:
Dialog Editor

Also, you can take a look at this:
http://www.dfbarracks.com/forums/viewthread.php?tid=28032

Ok, I have made i Dialog tutorial, but i have been Not able to posted in the Forums, because it gave somes pictures that show somes steps, but those pictures are in my Hard drive. And i have no body to host them.
But if you want, i can email it to you.

Also as i say before:
We don't know HOW to create or edit that file, The .AIN file.

I still find this strange, cos BHD uses a .DBF and a .LWF file for the library files...and the files are not very big. I used a hex editor to edit a stock one of each, and it worked fine.

I think the LWF is a library of the files the map will use (LWF may = Library of Wave Files)

The DBF seems to be a list that defines the dialog number, like, dlg001 will play cmd527, then Play732, with a 2 second pause between each wave..

This is only a theory of course, but it seems to work..

OZ, give us a break, read the whole thread..properly, it says we can't create an .ain file..

There's no creation tools..one of the things Nova has kept secret..

There may be in the future, it depends if anyone can figure out exactly how they work..

As for Hex editor, try Google, you'll learn a lot by actually doing your own research..
