by roaring u mean the cd drive is spinning heaps? and making lots of spinning noise??

if it's doing that there might be soemthing wrong with ur cd drive.. because it should slow down to the speed required for that cd. which is usually far from the top speed of the drive....

do u have another drive u could use to test? or do u have another game that u use that requires the cd that u could also try running to see if the same problem appears?

the d3d.dll im pretty sure is a directx file try reinstalling directx 9b see if that helps then run dxdiag to make sure there are no problems there.

AS Steptoe said, you can't just download it..it's a hardware thing. your card doesn't support hard ware textures...You'll need to update your card...

dang u must realy be hanging out m8, the thread started back on the 8th...
Ok we have established your vid card is useless....
Now we need to know the cpu and amount of ram....armed with this info we can then talk u thru, as to if its worth getting /installing a agp card and if it is possible to do so, and what to get within your budget.

Usually the best place to go for missing .dll files is www.dll-files.com/

I checked for the d3d.dll file you said you needed and this is the very first time they did not locate it. But save the link above anyway-the best for this search.

m8 we told u above , a while back, The intel card will not run bhd!!! any playing u do will not make it run on that card...your best bet is put a min of a gf 440fx agp card in...they are cheap and run bhd/ts well. Also it will run your other games a dang sight better to.
A Asus 440 is about $NZ 70 retail thats about 40 US

PS.... For machine 'specs' go to http://www.pcpitstop.com register for a free account, and run a 'full battery' of tests. It will give you all the 'pertinant' info about your rig. ;) also, i'd run the tests to check for 'compatibility issues' <---------- wouldn't want you to waste your money. ie: the components may not work w/your rig , run the tests, and leave specs here.
