Help

I have a problem with starting missions. I have an unmodded version of DF2 which I reinstalled from back in the day. Problem is whenever I try to enter in a mission, the loading screen comes up then sends an error message "Unable to open height map". I haven't modded anything on the game, except a no-cd crack, since it refuses to read the CD in the drive.
Help please?

Is this a map that you've downloaded? It seems you don't have the particular terrain that the map is built on, in your DF2 folder.

No, I've done nothing to the game other than a cd-crack. It gives me this message on every single stock mission in the game.

When installing DF2, did you pick the small or large install...?

I believe it was the large install.

Well m8, I'd try uninstalling the game, making sure to delete the folder also, and a reinstall again.

No height map would signify that there is a problem with the terrains.
