Nob Heads making maps a rating of 1
My new one is really good - BHDTS - COOP aztec ambush. Some idiot rated it a one and didnt comment. Assassin Xaero Said it was worth at least a 7/10.
then he gave me a few pointers and now i reckon its worth LOADS more. please revise this to see if it possible to edit this - I Have an Idea - Why not
make it so u have to comment so u can rate - also u actually have to type sumimn - some people will just leave it blank, Just an idea i spent ages on
that map and didnt get a decent response!!!

Well, its a good idea...but if you havent noticed, theres a View ratings below Download link...click there and see, whos the n00b....thats the reason,
AB made it...so we know, who rates what...you could give the link to the map, btw...

i no about da view rating but it makes my map look crap for people just scrolling thorugh ya no and AX said it was really good so... - he hasnt rated

I had np finding the map..its a bhdts map.
I feel that in no way it should be rated at a 1.
I havent had the chance to check the map myself, but if ANY of you wish to search thru the forums, youll find 100 threads about folks rateing badly
and not leaving a comment.
There is only 1 way at this point to remove the rateing, and thats to delete the map. We CANNOT remove a bad rateing. It would take an entire recoding
of the map database and only AB can do that. And Ill be the 1st to tell you that it wont happen, it takes too much work and time.
The only other way would be to delete that users account...something else we will not do.
Not every member is the best of raters, its abuse of the map database but it happens...
Ive looked into it and your map is the only map that member rated, dont abuse the database by having all your friends rate you a 10/10 to offset the 1
rate. Then your map would be rated badly by members who try it and find that it ISN"T a great map.
I trust Xaero's 7 in this matter... Be glad it rates that. You posted the map for public scrutiny, so dont whine about what other ppl think about
it...everyone is a critic.

yo - its better than a 7 now - he said a 7. then ii put about another 3 more hours into decoration more poeople and events. please rethink your
submission
also thanks to Chris about link. and i didnt expect you to DELETRE the rating i was just saying that because thats the first map thats happenened with
and it bums hard when uve spent like 10 hours on a map and no one has looked at it. Also i really wanna get my name high in mapping and i cant do
thatwithout a decent DFB rating. i get a 7 for example then people will look and say oo he got a 7 last time lets check this over - its a 9 then
people will like my maps more and that is what i really want...
also killerclive aint my m8 he is just a random perosn....

To clear this up...
When Danger showed me the map, there were only AIs at the beginning of it, and he said he was going to add more to it... He asked what I would rate
it, and I said a 6 or a 7 (not atleast a 7). I was just rating what was there then. Usually I take a look at the map in the game and think of
a rating, then check the .mis for sounds and other things... most of the time, the rating is lower then what I first think of giving it. Also, the AI
placement and/or events could have been bad... so if you add more to it, it doesn't always make it better. Also, I am NOT an admin (as you said in a
comment on your map), never have been... I'm just a teenager who made some maps and got on staff here, nothing more then that...
Some guy came and rated half my maps a 1/10 and dropped most of their ratings, and I know the same thing happened to Fireant, only it was all of his
maps and four guys rating each of them a 1/10. It happens, and at the end of the day... its just a game.
But one thing I hate, is being pulled into conflicts that I have nothing to do with. On almost every comment about this, I was somehow pulled into it.
I have nothing to do with this... and this got me to start thinking about something I'm probably going to end up doing in the next few months...

Everyone rates a map differently...There isn't a set 'standard' for how to tell a person how to rate... I know Ive played alot of maps that personaly,
I wouldnt rate higher then a 7 or 8. But that depends on my standards of rateing, even tho I had a blast playing the map, it doesnt mean Ill throw a
10 at it just because I had fun. The map might still have issues that keeps it from being a perfect work.
The map will speak for itself.
Every mapper wishes to be well thought of, but begging for high rates on a map that doesnt derserve such only make you look that much worse... As I
said, the more time and effort you put into it, the more folks will enjoy it and the great rates and comments will come naturally.
The really great mappers spend weeks/months making 1 map..not throw something together in a few hours and call it great....
Just something to think about, and the respect and high rates will come in time.

Hmm..got me thinking..do you want to get famous with maps?...become a singer..its easier...
At the start, I've wanted to get a high DFB rating as well, so my maps would have more DLs and more ppl would play/look/talk about them....
but in 6 months, I've been here, I realized, no matter what people say,, if you think, your map is the best of all, fine..but dont cry, when someone
rates it 1/10 for no reason or it gets lower ratings, than you expected...
I'm really proud about my maps, though they may be just another n00b work...dont expect high ratings, but thankful for every solid critic or rating...
10 hours? I've been makinga map for 2 months now and its still not completed...it will probably get a rating of 5/10 or 6/10, since it isnt anything
new and it may cause lag due the size and deco...but I dont care, as long as someone will look at it at least....
Thats my 2 cents worth on this matter....
