Need help with novaworld connection
Greetings
Since Novaworld went down a couple of weeks ago, I have been unable to connect. When I pick a game name it runs but never opens. CB connects fine and
I can see the number of players change when I hit refresh, just wont connect. I tried disabling my firewall but that did not help. I also downloaded
a new configuration at DF Favs/settings. No success. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im stumped.
Tks

Have you tried clearing out your cashe folder?
I had a problem joining the other night, and Chaos reminded me about the cashe folder, which I used to clean out on a regular basis before.
I cleared it out and got right on....So maybe give that a try.
Good luck!!!

Thanks for the feedback fireant.
Could you elaborate? I went to the DF folder then the cache file. Inside the cache file are eight fairly small files (4-5kb).
I should delete these?

Yes...remove the contents of the cashe folder, but leave the folder in place.

Are you running with a router?
Maybe your ports arent figured correctly...there is a post on that, its the top sticky in the tech forum.
I havent had a problem connecting to Novaworld.... Is there a chance your running a mod or something? Nova dont like those...lol
Can you bypass the login and go right to the public games?
Any info you can supply will help.
Thanks mate.

What I would do 1st is turn the firewall off...which sounds like youve done.
And you found the sticky about the router ports, and thats good. Now, are you haveing a problem configureing the router to open the right port>?
Also, if your running an antivirus program, you want to turn that off... If you have Norton, you could have probs, because Nova and Norton dont agree
with eachother...
Just a few more ideas for ya man.
