Noobie Terrain Q's
Hi was reading up a bit on terrain cos i had a question i couldnt find answers to in the manual for the DFBHDMED. What I wanted to know was, is there
a way to rotate the .bms Geographic terrain tiles? All I found was info on 2D tiles like roads. Im assuming thats what this whole section is about but
everyone plays different games so its hard to keep track.
From what Ive read so far, It seems that in order to edit your terrain you have to actually export it and alter it with a photo program and then place
it back in. or is it just something you would add to a flat map?
Would this have an effect on sending maps in to df cos it would alter the average file size?

The actual tiles can be rotated, flipped etc, but, the terrain itself is a set terrain..
You'll need to create your own, this causes huge probs, cos the average terrain files are about 8 megs..so we won't let you post a map with a terrain
included..

that sucks. what about rotating the Geographic terrain tiles? there has to be some way to do that. If you could Ill bet it wouldn't change the file
size. they come in a grid style and there is random tiles set, that repeat every so many grid sections. turning them or swapping them around could get
you some really cool looking valleys and moutains. or put the flat spots where you need them to be.
