DFBHD Scroll Weapons Fix
OK, here's the lowdown, I've run DFBHD since it's release, I've always customised my keyboard layout without any problems, with any of the other 3
updates. Now I'm running the 1.3.0.37 update, every time I remap the keyboard I loose the scroll, so I can't scroll through the weapons. It's ok if I
use the default setting, I can scroll, no probs. I noticed the same thing on a mates PC as well, as soon as I remapped his keys, no scroll. Anyone
have the same thing, or a solution.

PROBLEM:
After updating Delta Force Black Hawk Down to version 1.3.0.37 I am experiencing problems with the mouse wheel after remapping the 'CTRL' key.
RESOLUTION:
As the ‘CTRL’ key is used as a modifier key for some functions, those functions must be sacrificed in order to remap another function to the ‘CTRL’
key. Place this file (userdef.key) in your game directory (usually c:\Program Files\Novalogic\Delta Force Black Hawk Down) and start the game. Go to
the “Options” menu, and then to the “Remap” tab and click the “User Defaults” button. Now remap the keys as desired. Click “OK”. The keys should now
work as remapped, and the mouse wheel can be used to zoom the scope and cycle weapons. When this mapping is applied, the mouse wheel may not be used
(with ‘CTRL’) to change scope elevation. Changing scope elevation must be done with keyboard input.

Well, as you can see by the post dates, it took me 10 days to find the answer, I gave up on a reply...well..there was 2, I deleted them, they just
said to put up with the problem...but, if you know me, I like to solve the problem and have a clean running game..

Hmm...
I must have dont something wrong...I think I might have pushed game defaults...
I have another question while I am writing this post. Everytime I am killed, it says "you cannot call for a medic, please remap the medic function."
I changed my medic pack to the #4 key instead of the #9 key, would that have something to do with it?

P.S. One guy said it was my connection that did that...I dont believe that.

This new file add a new button to your Remap window... "User Defaults"
You must click this button before you remap. Remap your mouse at the same time, if you forget to remap your mouse, you will have to press "User
Defaults" again, and remap everything...all over again.
I have never moved the medic key, so try and move it back..se what happens

Thanks for the info E_E i have that same problem with BHD and Joint Ops (because i remap to get the keys more like DF2 lol)

No, it's only for BHD and TS, there shouldn't be a problem with the other games..it only happens in BHD if you remap the ctrl key..
If your having trouble assigning other mouse buttons..say buttton 4 and 5, then let me know, there's a trick to it..

I think for some reason when i installed JO it used the mappings from BHD, because they are the same as what I set them to in BHD and i didnt adjust
any in JO. This isnt really that much of a problem for me I have grown used to it. But the fix for BHD is much appreciated

wow, ive been without the scroll since i started leaning....
i set my ctrl as left lean and the \ (below ctrl) as the right lean
i email nova a few months ago about why the scroll doesnt work when i remap the ctrl key and the guy basically said its not possible to use ctrl as a
lean key and be able to scroll through weapons
so i went on, having to reach all the way from the up/down/left/right keys to 1 or 3 to get my knife/gun out (im a default key kind of guy)
ive been knifed many times because im unable to get my knife out quick enough..but now teh scroll works while ctrl is set to my lean key
