Just bought A Xtasy 9250 Radeon PCI version(no agp slot on my comp..and its new..yea), I put the card in the slot, all went well in that area, then
when I started the computer, installed the drivers, but it stayed in the INTEL extreme video card, so i diabled that, restarted, and the screen was in
a very low bit and bad resolution, went to the settings screen and it Says
Display:[default] then the name of my video card.
IT had all the settings as low as possible, and they wouldn't change, also when i started up the pop up for the ATI control panel showed up saying.
ATI control panel cannot start. Display drivers are not installed or not functioning.
Any tips? maybe I uninstalled the old card wrong, its built in.
Also in the brief install manuel that came with it, it said check to make sure the Vid card is in IRQ 11 or below, but when I checked it was 18, that
could be it, if you know also tell me how to fix that please. This is a Dell 2350 that im using

and IRQ 11 is a standard for alot of older operateing systems like 95 and 98. What Operateing system do you have?

I have almost the same card, (ASUS RADEON 9250 256MB DDR, 128bit), and also having driver issues. Still haven't found any solutions yet.

maybe it would be worth looking at omega drivers...sometimes these cure some problems and improve perfomance
regarding the resolution i would right click on your desktop and go to properties and change the colour bitdepth and resolution there

Updating Ati drivers, this is a common occurance.
go to device manger, in system find what chipset the mb has, via, intel, sis, nforce etc.
Find d/load and install the lastest versons.
Once installed, return to device manger and remove all video hardware
reboot, dont install on reboot, then run the vid card drivers again, replacing any files when asked.

I tried, but I probably screwed it up in this line, so let me clarify.

What do I download there?
Then i install whatever i just downloaded.
Go to D manager, delete ALL(including intel onboard pos?)
Reboot.
How do i not install on reboot?
Run video drivers

NEVERMIND. I feel soooo stupid right now.
I let my friend plug the wires back in after installing the card, because im a lazy pos. He plugged the monitor into the onboard video card hole
thing. When i found out i proceeded to pistol whip him then fixed it in 2min.
