Burger King... GRRR!

AN4RCHY - 11-16-2004 at 09:20 AM

Just today, not even an hour ago, a few buds and i get kicked outa burger king. now ur probably thinkin "you a**es deserved it", but we were standing up for ourselfes. ok, here's the story. we go into burger king and there's practically no seats, so we go sit in the play place. we drop off our stuff there and go order our food. we come back with our food a few minutes and some lady (NOT an employee... just a customer, who came in AFTER us) says we cant sit there because "us teenagers will harass the kids"... now im sittin here (IN MY ROTC UNIFORM) like WTF?! so we go into the "adult" dining area and finish our food. after eating we decide to just go into the play place and sit there. we are paying customers, we should have the right to sit there. the lady calls the general manager and we get kicked out. on the way out, one of my buds "takes" a window poster off the window. the assistant manager buzzes out the door and grabs him, calls the cops and this cop came, about 10 mins later. he said that my friend wouldnt get charged for anything because the poster didnt rip, it was just taken down. the cop talks to us outside the place and suggests us not to go there for a week or two... and lets us go. now im thinkin about not going there at all from now on. McDonalds is only about a mile away anyways. so BK.... U JUST LOST A FEW CUSTOMERS A**HOLES! have it your way my a**, im havin it my way somewhere else

Eagle_Eye - 11-16-2004 at 11:51 AM

Takes all kinds mate, some people are just "Anti Teenager"...now, they will loose business over it..and it will cost them more to get them back...

I spent 15 years working as a Manager for KFC, do you know that for every bad experience at a fast food outlet, that person will tell 20 friends, for every good experience they tell 1 friend, this increases the cost of advertising, cos they continually "Buy" customers back into their Outlet..ones they had in the first place, but lost due to stupidity !!!

OK, so your mate was stupid taking the poster down, but, that was just due to frustration, he should have known better. the Manager over reacted something cronic...geez, call the police over a bloody poster..get real...lol...

Tell all your mates to boycott that outlet..

At least the Police didn't overreact, and treated the situation correctly...

You may even want to get your Parents to complain about the lack of available seating....and the poor service their son recieved upon entering the outlet..

Already done :P we told about 6 people on the way back to the school about our little "incident" and a few more at the school...

And the cop thing... i think he let us off easy because he was former coast guard... and i was wearing a Navy JROTC uniform.

Eagle_Eye - 11-16-2004 at 12:21 PM

Well, there wasn't much the Officer could do, I don't think removing a poster from a wall constitutes a crime !!

This is true, it kind of seems like an act of protest, when you look at it, and we have that right here in the US...

Skorpio - 11-16-2004 at 02:49 PM

Burger King....yum yum...love their woppers back when they were 99cents.

But An4rchy, I feel you there are so many people who are just plain idiots.

Some people dont mind their own business. I used to have so many people around me in high school, and neighbors who are like that. You should have told that woman to mind her own business.

Tell her PROVE IT that Im harassing the kids, tell her, why dont you give up your seat to us, because we have no place to eat.

Some peoople were born to be idiots.

lol

EmptyBlackStare - 11-16-2004 at 06:07 PM

Fatty burger, i wont even eat at burger king or mcdonald's...only place ill go is subway..lol..cause i watch them make my food. However, i don't get to watch the people who process my food!!!! lol Plus your freind should have filed a law suit against burger kind..and employee touched him!!I would have decked the person.

Loser - 11-16-2004 at 06:57 PM

I understand you sat your stuff down outside, but you don't own the spot because of that. BK still owns it and it's free game.

The lady sat there, her bad because well it's one of those things that when someone sits their stuff down generally people find another spot out of curtesy, BUT she's older than you and you should show respect to her even though she didn't show you curtesy. I believe you learned respect in JROTC, no?

You went inside and found a seat to sit and eat. Cool, but did you really have to go back out there and chill? Could you not have gone somewhere else and chilled or just hung out where you were? I believe you went back out there just so she'd say something. It's one of those attention things we young people do these days.

She gave you the attention you wanted, but not the kind you expected. You could have just sat there til they called the cops and had them escort you off the premises because if they had touched you then you could have sued. BK has loads of money. If it's a multi-chain business it's loaded. ;-) Remember that.

Your friend pulled the poster off the wall. Not very smart. Why do you hang out with him again? You should probably choose people with multiple nuerons to hang around with.

Heh. I eat there too. I get a footlong meatball on italian herb and cheese w/ chedder cheese, american cheese, pepperoni, lettuce, mayo, mustard, ranch, pickles, tony cacheries, parmesian cheese, salt and pepper, and depending on my mood I might get jalepenos.

:-D

EmptyBlackStare - 11-16-2004 at 09:00 PM

- Respect your elders

- Eat then leave (don't procrastinate by lingering around the establishment).

- Resturants are not game rooms, nor are they hang outs.

It wasn't outside... it was one of the farily newer ones with the play places inside. and we understand that BK owns the land... the cop gave us a little talk before he let us go.

And to answer that question, yes we do... you have to be respectful to all the cadets in the unit to go anywhere in it, lower or higher ranking. I'm a lieutenant and i respect my cadet's oppinions about how things should be done, with good justification. I listen to the Company MCPOC (master chief petty officer of the company) who is 3 ranks below me, if complaints are brought up and improve upon them based on what he reports.

The whole point of me saying that was that she sat down and you should have respected her because she was older than you, regardless of her actions or words. Be kind to those who are mean to you and you'll only piss them off more. ;-) You should be in a server when this guy who wants to kill me starts running his mouth off. I'm as nice as can be and he hates me more for it.

Whats that mean EE, sorry im canadian and dont understand somtimes. im guessing it means to avoid the place?

Looks like i was slow getting to this one. ive had similar things happen to me, like when me and my friends go to the grocery store. the employees follow us around expecting us to steal and such. i know some kids steal but it gets sort of annoying after a while.

Calling the cops for ripping a poster? oh god doesnt the police have enough to deal with ? i think that is pathetic but thats just me.

DaKoTa J - 11-18-2004 at 03:30 AM

Personally, I don't see what the womans problem was. If you ask me the lady was just looking to cause trouble. I have no respect for that kind of person, old or young.

bs2 - 11-18-2004 at 04:02 AM

Everyone now thinks that teenagers are crime! ive had things like this with my mates aswell...my B-DAY turning 15...after school go into a game store with my mates to buy a game with my birthday money from my gf, we barely get into the shop then some 1 from the counter ran around saying that we have to give her our bags making a big scene making the people in the shop think that we were stealing some thing, I get my game i take my bag and leave...theres not really muhc more we do, its just steriotypes :P

§*~|Ç|~ - 11-18-2004 at 06:42 AM

Moral of the story......eat slop get treated as such.............you know the saying......
"You are what you eat..."
LMAO hehe

So your the big Lt. in the ROTC for the not so great U.S. Navy......thats pretty funny I didnt know the ROTC had ranks lol

7>Snake - 11-18-2004 at 08:01 AM

If you can 'Have it your way' at Burger King and they Flame Broil the burgers (OK - processed meat thing),

WHY THE HECK TO THEY MICROWAVE IT !!!!!!!!

before they give it to you?

Þoncho - 11-18-2004 at 08:35 AM

I have a similar, yet no story..lol

I was a young one, i played for Randwick Rugby club in Sydney (E) grade, at the end of season the club went to the Gold Coast for 2 weeks vacation.

Anthow, a bunch of us "E" graders went to the local Mc Donals franchise there where we "tried" and i emphasize "tried" to order our food. Not but person in there understood a word of English....how is this possible i remember asking myself...this is Australia?....

After a gruelling 15 mins in there we got our orders back....funny thing that, probably because they copuldnt understand what we saying.....this was totally unacceptable to myself or my team members.

Im not condoning what I did, I was a immature, trouble making brat....well, the whole team was, but we all threw our food at the personnel behind the counter.
(that was at least 20 orders )....our defence when the cops came?

"Your in Australia, learn some English"

I know...stupid I was

That's the Texaco across the street from the BK... even worse than that, the texaco only lets 2 of us in at a time... dang, i guess the whole 75th and Glendale intersection is anti-teen... well, the texaco got bought out by a Circle K... so maybe they will be a little easier on us.

And Poncho... what you did was just out of stupidity, not much a discrimination thing. Now i'm assuming that the (E) grade there is equilivant to the 5th grade here?... and now you all know what happens when you assume... you make an A** out of U and ME... (A** + U + ME =ASSUME) :P

Þoncho - 11-18-2004 at 11:06 AM

The Gold Coast at the time had alot of Asian investors, who owned many hotels and buildings, bringing alot of Asain tourism.....who worked in this Mc Donald's?...everyone of them was Asian and the could not speak English....so yes it was stupid and no im not assuming anything.....they could not comprehend a word coming out of our mouths.

Someone has to be the bigger person. The owner/manager will always side w/ the adult in any situation like that. Best to just leave it and go about your business.

Because they put it in a steamer to keep it warm. They don't microwave it if it's fresh off the broiler. You people haven't a clue what goes on inside a BK or a McD's. I've worked at BK before. I swore off fast food for a year or so before I finally gave in. If you only knew...

heart attacks can happen anytime, unexpected, even if you dont get a heart attack, your ateries might be clogged and you might be admitted to hospital for that.

Þoncho - 11-20-2004 at 08:18 AM

I used to eat alot of junk food, but i found a sure fire fix for that....USMC bootcamp.lol

Live it up because with ten more years of hardcore fastfood you'll be a tub o lard.

At 19 your system can hack it but if you continue down this road you'll be lucky to reach 30.

I'll crawl back under my rock now.:D

man thats crazy

BROKENSAINT$GFH$ - 11-21-2004 at 08:38 AM

i cant belive that lady and that manager acted like that. if that would have been me and my frineds we would have got put in joil because i would beat the heck of that manger as soon as he touched me prob more like as soon as he tried to say we had to leave. ohh and loser u need to shut up because u are totaly wrong and anarchy is totaly right.

Sonic's the way to go bud!

BK's comptition...

AN4RCHY - 11-25-2004 at 10:36 AM

I've just noticed that BK isnt competing with the whole "white meat chicken" thing that the other's have been doing. well... just another reason BK sucks...

also... thought i would post this pic i found... PETA made it (I think)... dang vegitarians...

bhd1011 - 11-26-2004 at 04:09 AM

I stopped eating at BK a while ago. That crap they call food has a sickening aftertaste that sticks around for weeks. Carls Jr, also known as Hardees, is the way to go.

Mr. Blue - 11-26-2004 at 01:44 PM

Last year i was filming my school movie , i was dressed as a french cook. While doing it i saw these kids, we started talking to one of the kids(around 7) when his mother flipped out on us, called the cops and said we were trying to kidnap them. Got 15 hours community service, and had to go to court, lost the tape. All over a overprotective parent who can't stand a 16 year old talking to her son. I wasn't pulling a catholic priest on the boy, i was about 15 ft away from him when i talked to him.

this post reminded me of australia, their burger king is called hungry jacks. same exact thing as here with the whoppers and all except for the name. anyway, we got to visit perth and sydney, nice place, very nice ladies =) =)
