ok i have dfwl and everytime i click on the mission editor it comes up with an error sign i have windows xp. i really wanna create my own maps but it
has an error and it has something to do with files called appcompat.txt , someone can you please help me !!!

If you do a search you will find this topic has been discussed a few times already, but ill repeat some of it. did you download the medc 1.92b map
editor? if not you need it.

the map editor that comes with the game is not compatible with xp or windows 2000. it was desined for win95\98.

DF:LW: MEDc Version 1.92b is the one you want, it should be the tenth one down the list. I would also suggest downloading the med help that was
upgraded by Iceman and Eagle Eye, thats located right under it.

i have already downloaded that, n its doesn't work it still comes up with an erorr it says this file will be included in the report( appcompat.txt) i
duno wot else to do

Directx version...
Video Card Type.......
Video Card Ram.....
Where you installed the new Med to..did you put it in the LW install folder...?

not hard to make maps so long as you have the good ideas in your head. best way of learing how is trial and error works beautifully.
