COOP needs people like Paco

Paco not everyone likes every map or mapmaker for that matter. Take what he said with a grain of salt. Ask him when was the last time HE made a COOP map was?? And then tell him to post it so we all can look at it and rate it.

Why is it that every time someone has an oppinion on something he get the response: "Do it better yourself!".

It's not about making things that are better, as its all in the eye of the beholder anyway, so whos to judge?

Have non of you ever commened on a movie, music, art, someones haircut or cloths? Do you make better music, movies, art, haircuts or cloths? Didn't think so!

The right to express our oppinions should not be governed by whom is nominated the better "creator", or you'd have Spielberg throwing half your DVD collection out the window.

And seeing as how this particular creator pulled out his trumpet and played it loudly in public I'd say its open season for critics. If you what to play the horn you better listen to the music!

The only sad part here is that Paco cant handle critisism even when it is valid, objective and to the point. Someone who are in firm belief that he has done something to the best of his abillity would never react like Paco did... Food for thought, huh?

As you have probably figured out I am no fan of Paco's work. However I respect him as a map maker, putting in time and effort into the greater good of the community.

uh, ducken, ok this was supposed to be contructive criticism.... alot of the people here are kids, young kids, dont expect them to read your post and understand. give them time, they'll get it later on...

mustangman - i must agree with you, PACO, u cant let the children of the world get to you. Real or at heart. You do great work, U certainly have a lot to share, don't let it get to you. You have a lot of positive support, and hopefully we can surpass the standard maps, so that they are obsolete :) that is my goal. thedarkgoalie

My 2 cents...

I, for one, owe alot to Paco for his generosity towards this community. I learned a ton from his examples and templates. Unfortunately, there will always be critics (not always a bad thing). I take criticism on a positive note and use it to improve. However, that said, I think its obvious that the community is more on the side of praise rather than criticism as far as Paco is concerned. Come back Paco, the community needs you.
