Thought I'd post some tips on object manipulation that I've picked up.
1. When moving a group of objects always remember the last object you click on to add to the group will be at the center of your cursor. This is
particularly helpful if you have a very large group you are moving and need to place it precisely and line it all up with a particular corner of a
particular object. Now you can zoom right in on the object you are lining things up with.
2. What if the object you are moving is really large and you need to see a corner or edge of it to line it up better but when you zoom in you can't
see it?
Either INSERT or MOVE a small object right over on top the exact area you want to use to line things up with. Then select the big object first and
then the small object second. You can now move both objects with the small object at the center of your cursor and zoom in really tight on that edge
or corner you needed to see. After you line it up unmark them and either delete or move the small object back to where it was.
