when you download a map it comes in a zip format. now to get the .bms format into your DF directory you need to unzip it take the .bms format of the
map copy and paste it into your DF directory.
Now depending on what version of DF you have which the post dont say you may need pack it. you can find pack it her at the barracks. If its a DF1 map
you will need pack it. thats how you get the map into the actual game. How to use pack it: first unzip the map. Now take the .bms format of the map
and paste it in your DF folder. then open pack it select your DF version then close pack it. Now copy the map and paste it ontop of the pack it icon.
then it should say successfuly packed 1out of 1. thats one way to do it. The other is to drag the map and drop it ontop of the pack it icon. You
should get the same message. Now look for it in your game.
Now for DF: LW TFD & BHD & BHDTS just take the map unzip it and put it in your df folder that simple.

I am having the same problem. I have downloaded many maps from the site. I unzip it and copy the BMS file into the DF2 folder. However, when I host
it is not recognized. I tried downloading the MIS file to open it with the editor so I can export but it comes up as ASC11 error line 5 when i try
that.
