Why clear the cmos? did u set it back up correctly or to defaults?

Update:
I cleared the cmos because for some reason the comp wouldnt start up after I cleared the dust. Weird... So I set it back up to what I thought it was
before...
Anyways, Ive installed new catalyst drivers and still getting sysdump. First I did the ati drivers from microsoft, still sysdump, then the latest ones
from Ati. Still sysdump...
Anyone got anymore suggestions...
