BHDmed exporting

Zarg99 - 10-29-2002 at 07:20 AM

Can someone help w/ a very basic issue: I export a map from BHDmed, run the C4 fix on it, and pack it w/ Pack.exe. I have tried naming it, I forget, TDMM_01 and other things, but when i try to run it BHD always says it can't initialize or something like that. Can omeone walk me through exactly how to get a custom map running? Thanks.

Don't run the C4 fix, it screws up the heights. :) You can delete that exe file entirely.
Also, you didn't mention it, so just in case, before you can export the map, you have to save it first as a "MIS" file. You only have three options available to you. Either name it TDMM_01a.mis, TDMM_01b.mis or TDMM_01c.mis. After you've saved it in that format, export it as TDMM_01a.bms etc.
Before you do all this though, make sure that in "General info/Edit" you've chosen "dvd1.trn" and "trntile11" from the dropdown menus. Give the map a name, doesn't matter what and if you want to, type your name where it says "Mission Designer". Set "Fog distance" to 500 and checkmark the option "Team Deathmatch".

When you eventually come to pack the file, wait for at least 30 seconds after you see the message that the file has been successfully repacked BEFORE you click the OK button. You'll very likely hear a few grunts from the processor which tells you that the although it seems to have run correctly, things are still happening inside the processor. Actually, the same goes for saving and exporting the file.

Simply name it any name you wish
go to our downlaods section and download the Map manager and install your map into the file created by Map Manager called mymaps..then use map manager to swap out maps you wish to play and it is all done automatically!!!

:D
